From what I read yesterday she has to have a secret service detail since she’s in the line of succession, but spouses can turn it down and I guess he did? No clue where Nancy was or if she was even in the area/state.

Just so I can lord it over you all later, I’d like to highlight that I’m avoiding speculation about motivation until we find out more. Remember that 75% of a breaking news story ends up wrong later anyway.
