Reports: Rams WR Stedman Bailey shot in head, in 'stable condition'

St. Louis Rams wide receiver Stedman Bailey was shot in South Florida on Tuesday evening, according to multiple reports.

The Rams confirmed via their official website that Bailey was involved in an "incident" and is currently in "critical, but stable, condition."

"We are aware Stedman Bailey was involved in an incident this evening. We have spoken with Stedman and he is in the hospital in critical, but stable, condition. We are gathering facts about the situation and will provide updates as we learn more."

Multiple reports from NFL.com and other outlets indicate Bailey was in a car when the incident occurred and will undergo surgery on Wednesday morning.

Good luck to him. I tell you, I don't know why he even went home as bad as the neighborhood he grew up in is. With his standing as an NFL player, I'm not surprised that it happened, as those guys can be targets when they go home.

I bet he wasn't the target. He was in someone else's car I bet they were the target and he was at wrong place wrong time.
