This is his burial today in Arlington. Apparently Flounder and Rikishi from the WWE have joined the Marines for funeral detail.

I can hear in that Fulle Metal Jacket voice, "Jesus H Crist Private Pile what is in your foot locker! A doughnut, Private Pile!"

No fvcking way these hogs are able to pass a PT test or tape test for being overweight.

My God, these guys are fat, even for reservists. @Marine03 what say you? Why would your beloved Corps allow these 2 pogs to disrespect the uniform, the Marine Corps, and, most especially, Gunny Hartman like this?

This picture is an honest to God picture from Gunny Ermey's ceremony at Arlington.

Reservists, my buddy is a Reserve Sgt Major. He told me just last night there were 42 in there BN that failed the PT Test. The whole Military is getting soft, they don’t do enough forced marches anymore

True. They spent too many years getting power points and sexual harassment classes and other BS. I think some of that is getting fixed now though.

The Army is implementing a new PT test next year. It's still being worked but it's a much higher degree of difficult than the 3 events you and I are used to.

I took a diagnostic and it kicked my ass. As of now there are no profile waivers for any event and no age or gender scales. It'll be brutal for older guys, fatties and of course females.

What does it consist of?

I told my son it looked easier. He says no way, it is harder. He said there is no way to max it. He said believe me it is an ass kicker. And, he is a 300 score PT guy. He said it you are on profile it will ruin you and he said the older guys will struggle. I was like really? He said no doubt, much harder to score on and it is kicking some peoples asses.

Your son is right. It doesn't sound hard but kicked my white ass. I scored a 297 once and my 1SG ripped my ass and told me to unfvck myself. I'm not that guy who skated on 70% my whole life.

Potentially, there are allot of guys that will (have to), retire because of this, and a lot of E4's that'll rocket up to E7. Remember that old saying, "If you're dumb you better be strong"?

I don't how the many of the guard and reserve guys will even come close. They better get in cross fit or hire a personal trainer. He talked to a Guard CO and they are already going(at the state command level) to the Army saying you are going to screw us because we are already at low retention and numbers already. Might not have a unit left when this thing implements.

Active Army is supposed to implement the test this year, but may be pushed. The Guard and Reserve side asked to push till 2021. The latter because part time guys need time to get in shape, and because the equipment needed isn't available to those units. The old PT test was just pushups, situps and a 2 mile run. You could do that at any HS track. Now they need pull up bars, medicine balls, kettle bells, a pull sled, a hex bar and weights. DOD needs to provide 100ks of these, not only to train on but to implement a test. The average line company has 120 personnel, you'd need 12 sets to get through a PT test and it'll still take an entire day (the separate events are held back to back, no waiting, so a grader follows one testee until he/she is finishes, including the 2 mile run at the end).

The Army used to graduate basic trainee's at the 60% fitness level in the 90's. It was dropped to a 50% in the 2000's. They were told "you'll get you're training and fitness standards when you get to your unit." That was an Obama rule, and it killed unit readiness, effectiveness, leathality and overall cohesiveness. Then training dollars were dropped, 40% readiness was the new norm, and more time was allotted to cross-gender acceptance training than a flat range. Case in point - weapons qual is mandatory every 2 years, but sexual harassment is an annual requirement. Sexual Harassment (SHARPS), training would rate a unit as either S1 (deployable), or S4 (non-deployable) depending on the level of participation, meaning a unit could deploy to a warzone with more SHARPS instruction than weapons familiarization. The general public doesn't know the ridiculousness of this rule, and the potential casualties because of it . Most of the force is more prepared to teach a social justice class than shoot a bad guy in the face.

Herdman and I work in the same community. One of the main rules of that community is that you can't mass produce SOF, especially after the fact. The same goes for the rest of the military. We're now trying to catch up and make warriors again. Instead of maintaining a war ready force we're now tasked with retooling, refitting and re-educating a neutered force.

The damage the Obama did to the military in terms of readiness was ludicrous.
