Reggie Oliver was one of the nicest persons I’ve ever met. Always smiling and very approachable. He will be missed dearly.
Very sad to hear. I have a picture of myself and Reggie at the Meet the Herd day in 1972

Rest in peace, Reggie. Give our regards to Nate, Terry Gardner (whom I worked with at CSX), the 75 and all the others who went before they should have. When we were in school together, we were resilient kids, quick to recover from whatever life threw in our path. It was not until the movie came out that we fully realized what you and the other members of the "Young Thundering Herd" gave of yourselves. Thank you for having the courage to resurrect our beloved football program in the face of extreme adversity. We shall forever be indebted to you and the other true Sons of Marshall who played beside you. Your infectious smile and hearty laugh will reign across the hallowed commons of our campus forever.
