I will be reviewing the stadium on Sunday for my website.

A few things that I rate are the stadium, scoreboard, campus and atmosphere.

What should I see on campus? In Huntington?

Best places to grab a bite?

Anything else you think should be in the write up.

I've always wanted to go to Marshall and since I've moved back to Cincy I have finally got the chance to go. We will be talking about it on our podcast. (I'll be sure to give the forum a shout out)

Thanks in advance!

See you on Sunday!

Check out the fountain behind the student center, the memorial in the cementary. Going out to eat, I would recommend the Marshall hall of fame cafe,. (3rd Avenue and 9th st.) if you want something closer to the stadium, try out Mancinis across the street from the stadium on 3rd avenue.

There is a Visitor's Guide post linked at the top of this board with links to Huntington restaurants and a campus map.

On campus, I would suggest visiting the Memorial Fountain at the student center, the John Marshall statue and Old Main. Would also suggest checking out the new Arthur Weisberg Family Engineering Complex and the Robert C. Byrd Biotech Building.

At the stadium, be sure to check out the new Chris Cline Athletic Complex and Bison statues. Visit the Chad Pennington Hall of Fame Atrium which is located inside the entrance to the Indoor Practice Facility. There is also an indoor family tailgate inside the practice facility. There is a bronze plane crash memorial on the facade of the west side of the stadium. Tailgate lots open at 9 AM. After the game the MU Drumline puts on a performance in the West Lot for tailgaters. Sometime during the first half a gigapixel panoramic of the stadium will be taken from mid-field.

Thunder Walk is at 12:55 PM and goes from 20th street through the West Lot to the stadium.

Restaurant suggestions are the Marshall Hall of Fame Cafe, Huntington Ale House, Black Sheep Burritos & Brews as well as Fat Patty's. Visit Pullman Square downtown. There are a number of restaurants, bars, retail there.

Thanks for the responses guys! The Hall of Fame will be a must visit for me! Thanks for the tips on what to see on campus as well. Usually hard for me to get too much info on that.

Arenafanatic be sure to enjoy the restroom facilities!
I know that when I have went to other team's stadiums the first thing I checked out were the restrooms. I am sure that what brings in the readers and listeners too. You are a genius.

I think that's awesome what you're doing and just checked out your website, pretty cool stuff.

Just wanted to add a note about places to grab a bite.

If you consider yourself a foodie at all, you should go to Black Sheep Burritos and Brews. It's probably 100 yards walk from the Memorial Fountain, right across the street from campus. It's really one of the only places in Huntington currently with more unique, creative food with fresh quality ingredients. Has that kind of hipster vibe and a decent craft beer selection, if you're into that kind of thing.

They also have a Sunday brunch that is excellent.

A lot of other places that people mention are old school Huntington classics but in my opinion don't have very quality food in comparison. I won't start a controversy by naming particular places, but that's my 2 cents. The Hall of Fame cafe has some cool football related stuff on display but I don't think the food is that spectacular. Fat Patty's is a newer Huntington institution and might be worth a visit. Pretty typical sports bar/pub food but good and a good football atmosphere.

I could be wrong but I am not sure how much the Hall of Fame cafe has anymore in the way of "Hall of Fame" type memorabilia. They remodeled and changed it quite a bit. Can someone correct me if I am wrong?

They did remodel, and they did avery nice job of remodeling! There is still memorabilia there, just not as much! But it is much cleaner and bigger than fat patty's in my opinion! More tvs as well!

A lot of the memorabilia that was at the HOF Cafe is now in the Chad Pennington Hall of Fame at the Chris Cline Athletic Complex.
Not that it matters but was the memorabilia just on loan essentially at the Hall of Fame Cafe? Or did they donate it to put it in the athletic complex?

Buddy's Bar-B-Que is hosting a Purdue tailgate, and that might be a first for a visiting team to have an official tailgate spot. Third Avenue and just past Hal Greer Blvd.

Hopefully this will be a sellout since only about 1500 tickets left. I hope you have your ticket already! Should be a great game day atmosphere!

Does anybody know what the hours for the Hall of Fame at the IPF are? Never read them anywhere. Open on game days?

Actually most of it is/was owned by the HOF...... Take Randy's Belitnikof (sp) trophy...... It's a copy as are several of the items..... some are on loan, one of the Championship rings for example is mine.
