Sources have indicated to me that Marshall Athletic Director Mike Hamrick is actively working to replace Marshall's lost non-conference games. It sounds like the likelihood of an FCS opponent is high and the possibility of another home game to replace the Pitt or Boise State games is in the works. It's not certain that we'll be able to get to 12 games. The ECU game has been rescheduled and the date could be released as soon as today. There will most certainly be a home-and-home series with a C-USA East Division opponent. That opponent will be "geographically friendly."
At the moment, the FCS game is the biggest question mark to all of these it seems.
Obviously, these situations are very fluid.
