High school students are marching 50 miles to Paul Ryan’s home town to call him out on guns - The Washington Post https://apple.news/AjbjHOo13RNujQoPhbLiHxg

“The students plan to demand a ban on all military-style weapons and all accessories that turn semiautomatic weapons into automatic weapons, such as bump stocks. They are calling for a four-day waiting period on all gun purchases, required background checks on all gun sales, and for raising the legal purchasing age of all guns to 21.”

what's sickening about all of this is the dems using students to do their work for them. they know they're failures, so, "hey, let's provide our talking points to a bunch of kids, see if we can get them to walk 50 miles, and deliver said talking points on our behalf."

even more pathetic . . . the kids bought it hook, line, and walking shoes.

this entire "military style weapons" thing baffles the shit out of me. i guess it's because i have enough common sense to understand there's no difference between a semi auto deer rifle and a semi auto armalite rifle of the same caliber. as long as it doesn't look like a military gun, it's okay.

while i really don't have an issue with the 21 year old limit to purchasing a firearm, i have no support for it, either. the "if they can join the military at 18 . . ." argument holds water IMNSHO.

Looks like the volunteeered as students to do this. I didn’t see where any dems put them up to it.
you think these kids come up with those talking points on their own? lmfao if so.

It’s fantastic to see the future generations so easily giving up their rights. The funny thing is it’s easy to do that when the rights means nothing to you like in this case. But eventually the govt will start chipping away at a right these kids will hold dear and they will sing a different tune. By the way it’s already happened when the schools started saying they should carry see through book bags. Suddenly they were concerned about their right to privacy.

I just can’t understand why people want to willingly forfeit rights that they have under done premise that it will make us safer. It’s just like the patriot act. We will trample your rights but you will be safer. Honestly the right that you like the least should be the one you champion the most because that’s what a free society is.

yeah like the right to go to a movie without having your brains splattered all over the walls.

if you are really concerned about the right to privacy (which i doubt you are) you should
talk to the supreme court members all your right wing presidents and congress have put there.
a conservative is the last person who should be complaining about losing their right to privacy.
the biggest abusers of the right to privacy are conservative judges.

What if I get hit by a truck going to the movies?

Dherd see this is why it’s pointless to debate you or any of your alter egos.

If a conservative wants to go against a right we have, do away with it or weaken it I will definitely speak out against it. I am not nor will I ever be a fan of the patriot act which has a huge invasion of privacy side to it. I love the freedoms we have in America and I don’t want to lose any of them especially under the guise of being safer. The new generation wants its cake and eat it too. We want to weaken one right because we don’t like it but don’t you dare touch one of the rights we do like.

Hey dumbasses can’t conservative kids march just the same. I’m sure the Heritage Foundation and the NRA has plenty of money to buy them a pizza or two after the March.
