Smock - MU knew Tue Litton wouldn't play

Refreshing for once. Constant burs in the product with the conference and with us right now. Our conference is a mess but we have to take care of our end and not worry about the other dudes. We may face a decision sooner than later in the next few years on where to place our programs, but for now we just have to do what we can do on our own.

The conference is a victim of bad timing. Moreover I'd argue the Tuesday and Wednesday night games MAC schools have to play for pay aren't worth what we would lose at the gate.

Yes the teams are a bit down this year, but I still prefer CUSA to MAC and Cheese. Hattiesburg in Novemeber is better than Toledo in November and yes we will play in front of 40,000 at Hattisburg instead of 1400 in Toledo.

I don't know the answer , but if you start telling me playing Ahia in their Super Bowl every year is better than playing Old Dominion that has a vision of where it wants to go I'd disagree.

As for telling the world Chase is injured.....why? What's the point? It's personal, we had a back up QB. Injuries don't need to be a part of the presses feeding frenzy.

Exactly, because not having Litton for Saturday's game wasn't newsworthy, and the competitive advantage of "Surprise - Garret Morell!" really knocked Louisville's socks off.

Toledo is a northern version of La Tech imo. Good program, attends well some games and some games not so much. As far as USM is concerned, yeah I would rather be associated with them and it would be nice if we had them and not programs like Charlotte, the F_U'S etc, but for now it all comes in one big package. Now if USM leaves to the AAC and we are stuck here, count me as one who would rather go back to the MAC at that point and not some cobbled up sunbelt/fcs league.

Let me clarify, I wasn't knocking USM. Given the option, I would choose USM and ECU as conference mates wherever we go...

Completely agree, only scenario that allows that is the AAC though. I was talking to some card fans during the game, they commented on our stadium and fan turnout and mentioned that neither us nor USM belonged in CUSA any longer. So we aren't the only ones who feel that way.

Contradicted himself. He said you can't keep anything secret but yet they managed to do so all week. The only "right" we get with a ticket is a seat for the game. It isn't like it made a difference whether the fans came or not and I doubt it affected L'ville at all. If reporters want information they need to get off their ass and dig it up.

Exactly, you tell these morons!

Oh, and BTW everyone...when you buy a meal at a restaurant you are NOT entitled to know how the food was made, damnit! Dont get cute either, expecting to be told where the expensive cut of steak came from. You sit your ungrateful ass down, eat your meal, be sure to praise the food when asked (whether you like it or not) and adequately tip your server!

Amirite?

Lol yea coaches should let the fans and press in on everything. Personnel decisions, injuries, gameplanning etc. How about a weekly online poll to decide the depth chart? Hell, why do we need coaches anyway? Amirite?

More transparency is needed. Game plans not included. The admin needs to take some fan needs into consideration to keep them from becoming turned off and feeling left out. Its called smart marketing.

I don't want to play ODU in anything. It's an embarrassment to even share a conference in them.

There's a huge difference between "letting fans know everything," and letting the fans who support the program financially know absolutely nothing (which is what Doc does).

Don't worry, I'm right.

Speaking of the lack of information, do we know anything about Ryan Bee's status? I may be wrong, but I didn't see him back in the game after getting hurt.

Have you noticed the play basketball there. Much better hoops legacy than Marshall, unfortunately. Great facilities there as well. Yes, football lags but they are expanding in a very fertile football area.

I saw him back in the second half. I don't remember how much he actually played but know I saw him and was relieved to see him.

That fertile area has been worked by every major program on the east coast for years. ODU get's the leftovers for the most part.
