So, a lot of talk that Spears is gone… if that’s the case where do we go for his replacement? IMO handling of this transition is going to be extremely important for the university. We looked bad in the Huff situation, nationally. The bowl game wasn’t great… and now the AD has these allegations against him and may be stepping down/fired. We have to handle this the right way.

Hmm first the vb coach and then spears. I'm not insinuating anything but it seems awfully coincidental in my opinion
There may be more dots as to why Spears and Huff couldn’t get along. Hearing perhaps both were fans of volleyball.
Time to go back and hire the guy we should have hired that was already here.
Time to apologize to the athletic director who hired a national championship level soccer coach, built the IPF and more (with academic money taken from WVU), built the soccer stadium (with economic development money), etc.

I was just about to ask, where are the updates? He was "going to be gone" on Saturday. It's now Monday. Tell us more.
This sounds eeerily like my prediction that Huff was gone after his “Cam/Fans hate his guts” …….this will probably be another internet fueled fever dream

All I said was there was a lot of talk he’d be leaving. And that if that’s the case we needed to handle the transition the right way. Either he isn’t leaving or they’re waiting. Can’t imagine they’d wait… so I guess he’s staying. Not sure.
There was a rumor he had an affair with the volleyball coach. That he spent money he shouldn’t have on the vball team and there were tensions with him and smith, like I said maybe those were all just rumors. Maybe there’s some truth.
The purpose of this thread was just to discuss the implications of a new AD if that were the case.
There’s also a rumor he and Huff were both fans of VB. Maybe that’s why negotiations were so rough
