We are also getting lower actual prices from them also as they have cheaper labor costs. Everybody loses with the tariffs except the ultra rich when they receive another large tax cut from Trump. He said he wants to have no taxes on anyone making less than 150,000 thousand dollars. I will believe that when I see it. That would be much better than what he actually will want being the ultra rich mans tax cut.
I did think about everything I posted. governmen working doing jobs the Mexicans did .They would have to have higher wages to do those jobs which would result in higher prices for the consumer. Also Tariffs would cause higher prices for the consumer. That is not too hard to figure out .

I'm sure some of that also depends on the area you live, but the cost of both have gone down. They're not where people would be less likely to bitch yet but no reason to believe they won't continue to go down.
tariffs are meant to get fair trade agreements and to get the industrial base back to the USA. It will help the middle class in the long run and it is a national security measure.
I did not say that . I said that we should not replace the Mexican workers with fired government employees. They would have to be paid higher wages than the Mexicans thus creating higher prices for the consumer. I dont think a former government employee would want to pick fruit and veggies or cook in an Asian restaurant or clean chickens or other low paying hard jobs of the sort. It is the republicans that fight the unions and fight against higher minimum wages. I favor both of these or workers would never be compensated properly.

Companies mostly have record earnings but they have not passed enought of that wealth to the working class. They get huge tax breaks which in itself should be good but most of the money they receive they use it for stock buybacks and huge bonuses for the executives (even companies that lose money] Companies have made huge profits using Chinese workers to assemble their products. We sell lots of food to China which helps the farmer . Why do you think they will take us over or for anyone else for that matter. Nuclear powered bombs have made a third world war hard to come by. Sure it could happen but more than likely would come from some more nation like North Korea or one of the Arab Nations.

That statement makes no sense. about the chinese thing you have our workers make them here and they make more money. The goods they buy cost more because the companies have to pay them more .
