This idiocy is reaching conspiracy theorist tin-foil hat level nuttiness.
So, let me understand this idiot theory.
- Some troll, or perhaps the better term is sock puppet, for its first post on the board ever, says it heard various unnamed people "talking" about a vast conspiracy. Apparently the focus of this vast conspiracy was to engineer a supposed slight in sideline access (a story so insignificant it is not worthy of mention) in order to replace the AD with a 73 year old man who has been collecting a pension for 12 years, and has no experience in athletic administration.
- This story was apparently "forced" on anti-Marshall columnist Chuckie Landon by said 73 year old man.
- The fact that said 73 year old man has been on Jimmy Justice's payroll for years and, if he wanted it, could simply get the job as spoils for Justice's recent election is to be ignored.
- All of this is supported by secret info in the premium recruiting board, with the above slighted ballplayers having been recruits 24 years ago and being currently men in their 40.
- Or perhaps it not MH's job that said 73 year old man wants, but rather DH's. The fact that he would be the 4th oldest coach in I-A (with two of the higher ones already making succession plans) is, as in all conspiracy theories, to be ignored as it does not further the wing-nut conspiracy, as is the fact that said senior citizen has not been involved in football coaching for over a decade.
What this all means, really, is that MU fandom is currently divided into two. Those who wish to piss and moan about ONE bad year, want everybody fired for it, and want to complain about the schedule, the TV, the conference, game start times, beer, no beer, parking, sideline access, and whatever else. And Herd fans.
Go Herd.
