Im sure the white kids that shoot up schools didn't listen to Jeezy before they walked in those schools. Its the entire American culture and history of violence that plagues this country
I bet the black kids in south central LA weren't listening to John Denver before drive bys and King riots either. There is a lot of issues that create violent cultures. Gaming, media, music, movies, sports, economics, and a whole host of other issues to boot
I'll agree with that. Other developed countries aren't as motivated by greed, Fame, fortune and idolize violent figures to the extent we do either. Name your favorite movies and check the violence level of each it'll probably shock you
Its not just the movies, but look at the history of America. If this country wasn't built on murder, torture, and fear, I think we would be better off
Most countries were built off murder, torture, and fear. Roman Empire, British empire, Etc, etc, etc, it's our nature as humans to take what we want by any means necessary. Look at what we do in the name of religion
I am speaking about modern times.
Plus Italy and the Great Britain don't even see close to half the violence here. We live in a country where you don't even know if you will make it home at night

Really. Have you ever heard of Mussolini? Ever study the history of Great Britain? Don't act like they are these perfect places They have some skeletons in their closets.
I understand, my point is it's in our Genetic DNA from our ancestors to take what we want when we want it. We are now a society of greed, instant gratification, and low work ethic and declining morals. I fear daily for both my kids and they're only 6. It's sad but it's the life we are in. If I had the answer to fix it I would, all I can say is be better than you were yesterday.

This is laughable. There are parts of Italy, Spain, Germany and or England you wouldn't want to be in after dark. Quit kidding yourself. Violence isn't an American phenomenon.
The perfect response from a republican, Deflect and deflect some more by pointing out what everyone else is doing.
Fact of the matter is this, WE ARE STILL WAY MORE VIOLENT THEN THOSE AREAS. And violence isn't restricted to low income poor areas too FYI. Jesus man, get out from the rock you live under for once. Violence is every where in America

My point is don't think these European countries are some great example. They are full of violence on a level we have never seen here.
I think you miss my point I'm not taking from parent to child I'm talking humans in general. But since you brought it up I know greedy parents who have greedy kids so there must be something to it

Ok, name the wars of the magnitude of Europe, human genocide, dictators, etc. that has happened here as compared to Europe. Not even close.
That's a bit unfair. We've been around less than 600 years since discovered, while England has been around over 1000, japan at about 2500, and china at about 3500.
Ok since our inception Europe has started two world wars. Brutal dictators who have murdered MILLIONS. There has been ethnic cleansing in Europe. Wait, this has been in the last 100 years alone.
We've done pretty good with the number killed also. About 1 3/4 million Japanese in just 4 years. Over a million in Nam. A million in North Korea. And however many millions in both world wars.
Its not deflecting. Pointing out what everyone else is doing is relevant to the context of your assertion that we are more violent than anyone else. Jesus.....you cant even comprehend the discussion you started. (Your point about poor education in the hood is well demonstrated.)
"Everywhere" huh? I can take a walk through my neighborhood and/or town right now (10:30 pm) and not be afraid. Seriously man......get out of the hood and actually experience America. You are ignorant in thinking every where is like the Bronx.
