Followed his opening round 73 with a bogey free 65. Not bad.

Getting better. Had a bad back nine yesterday. But, he is showing some promise for sure.

You gotta be happy for the guy, glad he scored well today. Played as a single(Justin Rose w/d) and really got a lot out his ball striking. I thought if he could shoot around par for the week it would be a good effort. Sustaining momentum has been an issue for Tiger during this period of injury and inactivity so this weekend could be very compelling.

25 under par won the tournament last year. So, this is one you have to go low in. Tiger is not going to win this tournament but it is a good one to start.

Although it is a limited field, it is a very, very strong field. No slouches in this tournament. Most of the world's best players are in it.

He looks pretty good. Just hope he can keep it up for 4 days.

I usually catch a few tournaments a year...Memorial, Firestone, etc. I look forward to to seeing Tiger back in them. I'll bet the tv guys are more excited than I am though. More people watch when he plays.

Don't think he will get in Firestone this year unless he would win at least twice before then. His world ranking is bad right now. Memorial he should play in.

I

Here's what he has to do to qualify...

Eligible players are:

-- Playing members of the 2013 U.S. and International Presidents Cup teams. NOTE: In odd-numbered years, playing members of the last-named U.S. and European Ryder Cup teams shall replace the last-named Presidents Cup teams.

-- The top-50 players, including any tied for 50th place, from the Official World Golf Ranking as of Monday, July 21, 2014, and Monday, July 28, 2014.

-- Tournament winners, whose victories are considered official, of tournaments from the Federation Tours since the prior year’s Bridgestone Invitational (with an Official World Golf Ranking Strength of Field Rating of 115 points or more).

-- The winner of the following tournaments from each of the following Tours: Japan Golf Tour Championship (2014) and Bridgestone Open (2013) from the Japan Golf Tour; Australian PGA Championship (2013) from the Australasian Tour; Dimension Data Pro-Am (2014) from the Southern Africa Tour; and Thailand Golf Championship (2013) from the Asian Tour.

I don't condone some of his past behavior off the course, but I am pulling for him

In his prime he would blow away the current golfers.. I hope he can get back to that level.. Would be great for golf.

Tiger is like MJ, he brought a UUUUGE audience to the sport. When he's not playing, that audience isn't watching. I really got in to golf because of him. I rarely missed a tourney he was in. Now, I turn it on for background noise if there is nothing else on. I'll admit, that's more than I do for the NBA since MJ left...
