Maybe he meant last one for the season?
He's been retweeting folks wishing him success wherever he decides to transfer.. So I think meant last one for the Herd period.. I have heard he wants to be closer to family
Man we have lost so much talent. Do teams have this many people either leave or transfer after a winning season? Or get kicked off?
Texas A&M had two qbs announce transfers since the season ended.Probably. You just don't hear about it much unless it's either A) A local team, or B) A big name player on a big name school.
We...will...survive.
Must have his differences with Doc or Legg, wants to transfer to a bigger program, or wants to get close to home. Anyways, I wish him the best of luck. I still have faith that our defense will be pretty damn good next year.
Hmm. I think that's uh..... I wish him luck.Tindal just tweeted he is leaving for the NFL Draft. Yeah, im not kidding...
I'm not one to speculate, but there has to be more to this than Tyndal leaving to enter the draft... I can't imagine he is going to be drafted.
Family stuff? Academics? Who knows.
If it were simply an issue with the coaches he could transfer (there are plenty of schools that need DB's) so I would guess it's something off the field.
His Mother passed recently and he has 2 younger brothers he has to take care of.
And his best opportunity to do that would be to stay in school.. Both for his future as a player and his future period.. I see Tindal ending up very much like Darius Marshall.. Good player but he's not going to excite NFL scouts.. If he truly wants to play in the NFL his best option is to come back for his senior year and try to improve his game.. Solid player and one we will miss but not one the NFL will, especially not at the moment.. But, in another year who knows, maybe.. However, I don't blame the kid for the choice.. When you lose a close loved one and you're grieving it is hard to think clearly and rationally sometimes.. Just wish someone he was close to could do the clear thinking and give him some good advice
If someone were to write a soap opera about Marshall football based on the baseless assumptions and guesses and conjecture people offer up here, I'd watch it.
Need to find a way to make sure all the characters' names are misspelled in the credits too.
Tindal has his degree already. D Marshall didn't, he smoked his chances away. Tindal is a leader and has the work ethic. Plus maybe he got a draft grade, saw what happened to Rockhead this year plus you add his life situation and figured now is his best chance. Plus I believe he is 22 I believe.
Well, somebody hold off on the final transcript, because supposedly there are a couple more players who are disgruntled and talking about leaving the program. Each individually would be yet another huge loss.
But, we are just humble fans who aren't worthy of knowing anything about the program other than what excuses we are fed by Doc.
It's hard to be judgmental in this instance without knowing all the facts. Some kids just don't like going to school and having to maintain eligibility. I have no idea what his grades are like but he was a non-qualifier to begin with. Has he done just enough to remain eligible or has he done enough to graduate?
Didn't his mother die recently? Does he have family obligations that have forced his hand to start earning a paycheck to help offset expenses at home? While opting for the NFL draft seems like grasping at straws to me, just making the practice squad should help him earn more money that simply entering the workplace, especially if he lacks hours to graduate.
Like I said, I don't know the full story but I can see how certain kids look at things based on covering athletes for a number of years. It wouldn't be the first time a student athlete made a poor or pressured decision about his future.
If you covered Athletes for Years, you would have known he has his degree already
Jock, hope you're doing well. Prayers to you.didn't know of your battle.
