Trump tells Curry

I'm sure you do, as long as no illegals, non-whites, and bums live anywhere close to you. Your kind are a dime a dozen. You have a history on this forum, so there's no doubt that you're a left wing nut.

Hahaha.....you know nothing about me.

...or to comment before all the facts were known...

I think Trump needs to take your own advice.

Imagine the outrage if Obama said to owners that Teebo should be fired for taking a knee after scoring touchdowns... Trump, just like Obama, shouldn't be telling a business how to operate.

Actually the facts are and were known when Trump tweeted. The 1st amendment doesn't protect these players from taking a knee to "protest" If the owners or the league saw fit to fire, fine or discipline them for their actions, they are within their legal right to do so.

Instead we just get to continue seeing more blind sheep protesting the "injustice" of America that has made them a member of the 1%er club while slowly bleeding out the golden goose that's afforded them the status.

Again, don't get me wrong. I believe in their "rights" to remain ignorant for their "cause". But I also believe part of the Presidents responsibility is to promote the overall respect and greatness of this country. Could he have said it differently?? Definitely yes.

I don't agree with everything the Prez does or says, but there is one thing I know, Trump isn't embarrassed or cower in guilt of being American. That I do respect.

Haha. That's fvcking hysterical. Quote of the year Trumptard.

That's the problem with you obsessed trolls. You actually can't read or comprehend what others actually say in a thread that you either start or attempt to participate. You don't have the ability or guts to have a conversation or stick around.

This is where I find this whole issue interesting.

Yes, everyone knows the first amendment doesn't protect you in the work place, but nobody is getting fired, so it's a moot point. The people who keep yelling that it isn't a 1A issue are correct. But since nobody is getting fired, and the only one calling firings being the president of the United States, you can kinda see where people are inserting the 1A into the issue. A government entity is calling for restriction of "speech" while the employer is letting it go. Agree, it's not a 1A issue because simply calling for restriction of speech doesn't restrict speech and last I checked, no legislation is being drawn up to force standing for the anthem. So, yeah, not a 1A issue.

Where it kind of gets shady for me is that you have a president playing a game of chicken with a business. It's like he's saying, "You will do as I say, or I will try to destroy you." Again, not a 1A issue, but DAMN this whole thing has to be putting a smile on Hitler's face. And where does it end? How would Trump have handled Apple during the whole FBI-Apple encryption situation? Would there have been a daily bashing of Apple because they refused to build a backdoor into their software? Would he have turned Apple into an anti-American/pro-criminal company, while praising/promoting their competitors? Try crushing their sales, calling on his base to boycott them?

These Are Some of The Restaurants Banning NFL Games Because of Anthem Protests
Amy Parlapiano,Sports Illustrated 21 hours ago

Some restaurants around the country are responding to the silent anthem protests of NFL players with a "protest" of their own: They're choosing to potentially lose some business by no longer showing NFL games at their establishments. Here is a list of some of the restaurants who've made public announcements about their 'ban' on the sport.

Baxters Family Food and Fun, Hixson, Tennessee

Statement: (via the restaurant's Facebook page): "We might lose some clients over this but I feel that it’s the right thing to do. Until the NFL comes to its senses on this National Anthem tragedy, we will no longer be showing NFL games at our restaurant. You can still view the college games on Saturday, and we will still be open on Sundays. But my grandfathers fought for our country for that symbol. They lost friends and brothers. My father served under that flag. My grandfather was awarded the Purple Heart with that flag flying high!! And I will not allow anyone to prosper hiding behind the very freedom it created!! So until further notice, we will not be showing the NFL games."

Borio's; Cicero, New York

Statement 1 (via sign posted on restaurant that is now removed): "Borio's Restaurant is thankful to be in America! Due to the recent decision of the Pittsburg Stealers team to stay in the locker room during out country's National Anthem the Borio family will no longer show the NFL in our restaurant. If and when this disrespect ends we will be happy to show this product on our restaurant again. America is great we can all make decisions!"
Statement 2: (via restaurant's Facebook page): "We would like to thank everyone for all your comments. This will be our final comment on the NFL subject. First, we would like to make it clear that we did not post or have our sign posted to the web. Our intention was never to seek publicity or incite political arguments. Our action is purely a sign of patriotism. We respect the National Anthem, the United States flag, the military and all people of this country. We hold these values near and dear to our heart. Therefore, we stand by our initial post. We will not air any NFL games at Borio's Restaurant.

Canyon Road Barn & Grill, Breckenridge, Texas

Statement: (via the restaurant's Facebook): "NOTICE: There will be no viewing of any televised NFL games on any of the six big screen TV's until further notice. For the 99 great things being an American Citizen affords us, there will always be that 1 that ignites some. Freedom of speech being exercised in this establishment so COME FOR THE FOOD BUT STAY AT HOME IF YOU WANT TO WATCH AN NFL GAME :) Put your money where your mouth is...Semper Fi."

Cooper's Landing; Cicero, New York

Statement: (via the restaurant's Facebook page. The post has now been deleted): "So after this past weekend with the NFL Cooper’s will be joining Borio’s and NOT airing the NFL games enough is enough its time for these million dollar snowfakes to stop disrespecting the Men-Women-Dogs that signed a blank check for them to act like this Hopefully things will change WE will be airing Baseball-Hockey-Mud-Water & Snow sports with Specials United We Stand".

Palmetto Restaurant and Ale House, Greenville, South Carolina.

Statement: (via the restaurant's Facebook): "There's no change in my position. Palmetto Restaurant and Ale House will not be showing NFL games until the NFL rids itself of protest by their employees during the presentation of colors and the national anthem."

Sarita's Grill & Cantina Denham; Denham Springs, Louisiana

Statement: (via the restaurant's Facebook page): "NFL Update. Until further notice, Sarita's has decided not to broadcast any future NFL games or the NFL Network. We respect everyone's right to freedom of speech; however, we do not support anyone that disrespects our Flag, our Country and the people who have fought and/or died for the freedoms that we have."

WOW Cafe & Wingery; St. Bernard, Louisiana

Statement: (via the restaurant's Facebook page): "I apologize to all of our guests but we will not be viewing the Saints game today in house. Some of our local players chose to sit during the National Anthem, which will not be supported or praised at WOW. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you"

What you and others fail to grasp is that the Russians didn't care about trump getting elected their ultimate goal was to sow the seeds of chaos and contemp throughout the nation

Haha your so funny Trumptard.

Yes, everyone knows the first amendment doesn't protect you in the work place, but nobody is getting fired, so it's a moot point

Bullshit. Everyone clearly doesn't know it's not a 1A issue or they wouldn't be referring to it as a "freedom of speech" issue.

I'm with you generally on Trumps type of comments towards the players and owners. I frankly would have pointed out their misguided "protest" in a different way without suggesting they be fired. However, it also appears more people who've actually been fans of the game are deciding to engage with NFL less. This can not be denied and it started before Trump ever was Pres. The NFL stepped in shit by misjudging their customers beliefs and general respect for what the SSB stands for.

Trump was right, as usual.

Fire the son of a birches if they cannot show respect for the good Ole US of A.

Curry and LeBron are 'all about me' bitches. This country is full of rednecks like myself and herdman who will turn that jigaboo stuff off.

I quit watching pro sports a few years back, except for hockey and golf. Those are men that respect the country they live in, and perform in front of. Lots of foreign hockey players, but they don't act like porch monkeys during the national anthem.

Wow

If they acted like Porch Monkeys, they wouldnt kneel or Protests. They are actually going against how the man wants them to act.

And there's the problem in itself. One side thinks their side is all that matters. I tell myself as a vet, as someone who wore a uniform, as someone who swore to defend the constitutional rights of all Americans. The flag and constitution to me stands for ALL PEOPLE, not just a select few. The military helped me learn how to respect all people, and it started when I was assigned a 3 man room with a black man from Compton CA, and a Mexican American from Brownsville Texas, who remain my best friends to this day. I think Colin K should be looked at as someone who gave up a lot to help bring issues to light. He's not a villain, he's an American who was given a birth right to stand up or in his case kneel for what he believes in. I, as a vet applaud him for it and no amount of rhetoric from anyone on this board, the public, social media, or a bigot President will ever change my mind.

its the people who didnt serve who find issue with someone kneeling

Ignore the so-called Marine. You're much smarter than him. He disrespects the President with his words, so his rant regarding how he learned to respect everyone is nothing more than complete and utter bullshit.

Honest question, What has Trump done to earn anyone's respect?

Amen amen amen preach it brother

Yehh let's lock arms with a bunch if guys who make a ton of money to play football because the President said "fire the son of a bitches" who refuse to stand for the anthem.

Boooo Hooooo Mr Whiney Pro Athlete

Oh and they don't have a 1st amendment right to kneel during the anthem. That is the owners decision. The owners are afraid of them and have no spine. You don't have the 1st Amendment right to do that at work.

You're whining about "thugs" has now exceeded any condemnation you might have stated about the white supremacists in Charlottesville. Telling. sad. bigly.
