Deeply disturbed by the President's reaction thus far. Seems pretty clear these weren't "rogue" actors, but agents of the Saudi administration. This guy was a U.S. citizen. The photos of Pompeo smiling and meeting with the prince are disgusting.

No he was not a US citizen.

And Trump has made his opinion widely known on reporters and the press if not affiliated with Fox News. Trump would also like to kill off dozens of reporters he disagrees with.

Trump at least didn’t wire tapped reporters and arrested them like the previous administration

So an exiled Saudi journalists...….stop right there. "Journalist" is the only reason the media gives a damn about this.

Yeah, that guy in England the Russians poisoned was a journalist, that is why it was in the news /s

If you really cannot understand how batshit crazy this situation is, you don't have enough sense to comment on foreign policy and diplomacy. It would be less crazy if they had gunned him down on the street; there are things you can sorta do and things you really cannot do,and this is one of the latter. It threatens the system of privileges for diplomatic missions. It is a big deal.

It's also a big deal in the whole mess of trying to keep the Muslim world from exploding, but that is another discussion.

You know what is really funny? Your attitude about journalists (let 'em be killed), especially one fighting a repressive religious monarchy, makes you more of a totalitarian than a believer in liberal (that word does not mean what you think it does in this context) democracy....but you think you being a super-conservative makes you a super-patriot. Would you prefer a king or a dictator, Rufus?

blah...blah....blah...

You know what is really, really, funny. You really cant deny that the reason the media gives a damn about this has more to do with his title/career than anything else. So...lets put this into some context.

An exiled Saudi ("journalist") is killed by his own country. Believe it or not, I probably care more about this, than most US libs have cared about this same repressive religious monarchy's known brutal acts and treatment of women and other minorities for countless generations.

. Believe it or not, I probably care more about this,

Sounds like straight out of a movie but I highly doubt Trump will do anything unless they blatantly admit murder and that won’t happen.

Of course he won't.

It is going to take the business world to finally give KSA the finger. This may be a start to that, but those oil billions sing a loud song.

this some fuktup shit . . .

Tubaigy began to cut Khashoggi’s body up on a table in the study while he was still alive, the Turkish source said.

The killing took seven minutes, the source said.

As he started to dismember the body, Tubaigy put on earphones and listened to music. He advised other members of the squad to do the same.

“When I do this job, I listen to music. You should do [that] too,” Tubaigy was recorded as saying, the source told MEE.
