Have you seen next years schedule? Doc probably won’t win any OOC games next year, and no way he goes 8-0 or 7-1 in conference.
Gladly next year my two college football teams, my boyhood/hometown team (Herd) and my alma mater (Pitt) get to out mediocre each other.
A 6-2 or even a 5-3 conference record will please Mike & probably get John an extension.
You do understand that it doesn't take a lot to make Mike a happy AD.
We don't exactly play for championships anymore .
We could also be better. Not sure it gets much worse if you finish 2nd or 3rd in our half of the worst FBS football conference year in and year out.

Conference USA East title goes through Marshall every year. The problem is, the other team always makes it through.
