I failed to anticipate that a global pandemic would cause the federal government to flood the states with cash they could spend on anything, and that WV would have its first MU affiliated governor in a century at exactly the same time. The service academies are the only ones that such things will work for and they're a completely different breed, also why they're both unbeaten...their teams have had time to know one another for more than a single season.
Agree with this take. The NiL basically forced one of the greatest coaches in the college game to say the hell with this a couple of seasons before he really wanted to.
