IMO, it has no effect. Guys still wanna win and either get paid or get noticed.
Mercenaries don’t care who they are fighting for or against.
If that was the case they would have stayed to play in the bowl game and be showcased again
We were looking for 50 guys last year also. What’s your point? We had a ton of opt outs last year in the bowl game also.
Have you seen the offer list to most of our starters? They were almost all tampered with and this will get worse across college football before it gets better until they change some rules.
Well first Marshall should say who there new coaching staff is 2nd The new coaching staff should be going after new players and not the one's how just quit on the team 3rd Maybe the Ad could give a more detailed report to what happened to force Marshall to opt out of the bowl game and to clear the air. But as usual Marshall is just setting back like scared cats not saying a word just letting the media eat Marshall alive. At the end of the day Huff did indeed have the last word and just gave Marshall the biggest middle finger possible and it looks like the Marshall Administration just took it.
Most of the stuff that I've seen hasn't really been negative towards Marshall.
It's been mainly about the portal situation.
The negative medium that you're referencing has been the message board posters.
This does nothing to recruiting except putting Coach in a position where he has to make the difficult decision to either take a short term transfer or a non-Marshall level player for next year, just to get a slot filled; or to build for the future.
And we, as fans, can actually have an impact on this. The real fans know to support Coach 100%. We know that the 24 season was a fluke result of an ultra weak schedule.
