Who’s gonna drive over into Ohio to smoke a fatty?

Do you have one?
I did get one. I workout a considerable amount for a guy my age but I'm starting to get arthritis & other pains from a few major surgeries/procedures. It basically came down to two things. I wanted to be able to sleep through the night but also wanted to be on the right side of the law. I was very honest when I applied & said i just wanted it to help with pain & sleep. The amount they came back & said I'm approved for monthly is bastshit insane.

That sure was a bloodbath of an Election Day. Keep running on abortion guys, it’s working super well.

Yeah, good luck with that in 2024.

The latest polls indicate people love financial stability, positive cash flow, low interest rate loans and safe streets/neighborhoods far greater than the ability to murder innocent lives of the unborn.

And you know they tend to poll a greater percentage of Democrats as it is so the massive leads Trump has are likely even greater. I must admit, I was a little set back when I saw it on liberal news, considering how much libs like you get off on even the thought of ripping a fetus apart like lions killing a zebra.

Question though, do you prefer to think about killing babies when you're sitting back watching porn with your kids, or does that make things weird for you?

This is just another example of WV being way behind the curve. While I have no desire to smoke weed, it is something younger people overwhelmingly want and support. People should have the freedom to choose whether the use marijuana because like booze, tobacco, or fast food it generally doesn’t impact anyone else assuming it is done responsibly.

The politicians consistently complain about younger people leaving while ignoring what they want and making it a desirable place for younger generations.

It will still get you booted from the military and other certain federal jobs. My employer won't hire you if you test hot upon employment. Many of my customers drug test and it is terms for imeediate dismissal if you test hot. Certain clients of their also require any contractor to test for drugs before entering their property or performing work.

So, it is a Catch 22. Legal ? Yes but, still not at the federal level or in certain jobs. Many employers require testing because of company or fleet vehicles.

It is legal in Colorado. Soldier stationed there and test hot? Your time with Uncle Sam is over.

I have no real issues with it if someone wants to do it. It does become agrravating at times. I have some buddies that do it on golf trips or while golfing. It gets weird when they get paired in the golf cart with someone and light up. We stuck a preacher with one of the guys one time just to get a chuckle out of it. But, it does get old sometimes. I went to a semi-formal party not long ago celberating a couple and two or three guys lit up a fat boy at the party and that go awkward. They just did it like nothing was wrong. Was awkward because there were a significant number of military people there and they were a guest at someone's house. I chuckled at first then it was like ok, put the shit up or walk down the street and do it. My neighbor smokes it all the time. She gets aggravating with it. Like damn everytime there is a get together. DO you really need a joint that bad all the time?

But, states are going to pass it because of the money involved.

Republicans won in VA a couple of years ago because of the local school issues. It was always going to be hard for Republicans to keep the State House as Virginia is blue because of the growth of the federal govt and spillover into Northern VA. Not sure why people think otherwise.

VA is really two states and probably needs divided. Sothwest and south central VA are completely different from norther beltway DC Virginia. Big Stone Gap is about three worlds different than Beltway VA.

Also, Republicans don't vote unless they feel really compelled to. Demcorats vote much better. I give them that. Govt means more to them. Republicans will turn out when it gets serious enough for them to do it. Dems vote all the time because govt is their source for answers.

Frankly, I can't wait to get the hell out of NC. The libs here are completley insane.

If your job is dependent on no having marijuana in your system, don't use marijuana. Just because you can't use it because of your job doesn't mean you should be able to dictate whether other people can. That is just plain anti-American.

I feel the same way about people who smoke cigarettes. I hate the smell and how it attaches to my clothes and self. Doesn't mean I should be able to dictate if others smoke. If someone lights up around me I just walk away.

It is the simple principle that as long as you are not reasonable interfering with others, we should all be able to live our lives as we see fit. Freedom, baby.

Ive said it before but WV missed out on a HUGE opportuniaty by not having WVU or Marshall offer marijuana horticulture/business degree and integrate that into the Gauley/New River area. Like a satellelite campus, buy up cheap land there, partner with pharma. Grow tourism, etc. Put broadband out there. It is my understanding that WV climate is perfectly fine for growing pot.

HUGE mistake.

I agree with a lot of what you say. I was just offering up how it can be legal but, not legal or can cost someone their job.

So compromise your morals and what you believe in and change everything you stand for just to win elections?
Anyone that doesn't see the gargantuan irony and hypocrisy of that statement by the oath breaker is a complete idiot.

Of course Kansas will legalize pot sometime after the second coming of Christ, but yeah I drive to Joplin and get gummies for the same reason. And I have found it does not take an amount that will get me high to help, like 5mg of THC is the usual sweet spot.

Thankfully the police here really don't care, because we are surrounded by legal weed in MO and OK. As long as you aren't driving around smoking or something equally stupid.

yep they can keep doing that and you can keep harvesting ballots and fraud through mail.

that seems to work for the party. only problem is the entire country is losing.

I agree with you here. if republicans would just let go of abortion they'd probably never lose another election.
It's too late for that, the nuts have taken over the party nationally, never mind on the state level in all the backwards states. And SCOTUS isn't changing it's crazy rightwing bent for a long time. This is the GOP albatross around the neck.

So, should we hire meth heads and crack heads too? Do you want your family driving on the other side of the yellow line with those people driving just feet away from them?

For sales? You have to get a clearance or something?

Not necessarily....I understand you can do the treatment thing. And then switch to acid, because that is out of your system in hours 🤣

If a company doesn't want to hire someone because of marijuana use, then don't hire people that use marijuana... ta-da. If you think someone using marijuana is equivalent to meth and crack I don't know what to tell you. That is about like if same one said people should be able to have rifles and equating it and F-22 and nukes.

Of course we don't want those people on the road while high. It is illegal to drive impaired. By your logic we should ban all substances that can impair driving like alcohol or certain medications because:

Do you want your family driving on the other side of the yellow line with those people driving just feet away from them?

In my opinion, telling somebody they can't smoke weed now in Ohio would be the same as telling them they can't drink alcohol.

Philosophy I agree, but until federal law changes that's how it goes.

One big thing that needs to be done is employers for non-safety roles absolutely need to stop urine testing for weed and only do mouth swabs. That's a little more fair.

Some companies here in the EP have stopped screening urine for THC during the hiring process. However while employed if you are involved in a work related accident they will test for THC along with alcohol

No, I’m saying where do you draw the line using your logic.

@MStap said it’s anti-American to say what people can do drug wise, so where do you draw the line?
Ah yes, the old conservative argument against gay marriage, where do you draw the line, people will be marrying their dogs and toasters!

It seems to me that rational people have decided that the line is drawn somewhere near booze and weed. Maybe shrooms, they are pretty harmless, though I am not sure we should have retail shrooms, you should have to work a little for them lol.

Question #1, everyone in the company regadless of position is required to take one as a condition of employment . Second part of your question #1, no comment.

Your last statment. I wouldn't recommend testing the waters on that one.

No, I’m saying where do you draw the line using your logic.

At treating marijuana like we treat alcohol in this country. Now, where is your line the other direction?

@MStap said it’s anti-American to say what people can do drug wise, so where do you draw the line?

You got me here. I certainly haven't been talking about marijuana, I clearly stated meth should be legal and that on Halloween we should give all the kids syringes full of heroin instead of candy.
