Anyone else watching this game on SEC network? WKU took 7-3 lead into the 4th. Vandy just kicked a fieldgoal so 7-6 now. I know they were terrible last year but you know the playoff committee thinks pits of SEC is still far better than most... nice to see CUSA foe take it to a P5 school regardless where they rank in that conference

Very unimpressed, just my opinion. Vandy's QB played an awful game. I don't think they will win more than 1 or 2 games this year. WKU, not the offensive output I expected, definitely blown up in the media over the summer. Technically Vandy should have won the game, but their QB felt like being generous and handing it to WKU.
Just another example of a team losing because of a lack in the passing game. Vandy D was impressive with only 2 srs.
On paper, WKU should have gone up and down the field on Vandy at will, but they didn't. Was it Vandy's D or WKU's O? IMO, given all the hype for WKU's offense, they should have put more points up on the board.
I agree vandy is one of the worst but they are the in the almighty P5 and they do look better than in the past. Hopefully their qb can settle down and they will win a few more games than last year to make this win seem bigger. WKU didn't look as good as advertised but it was the first game ao we will see but i was not impressed at all. Even if it isn't a huge win i like that fiu beat ucf to get a win over aac and now when we beat Purdue our conference will have wins over 3 other conferences. 2 wins ove teams in confernces everyone always tries to say are so much better top to bottom than the best teams in our conference. No matter how crappy the teams are in P5 the committee favors them so wins by our conference over them makes us look better.
Both teams looked very, very sloppy. How many INTs did Vandy's QB throw in the endzone? I counted 2. Just plain sloppy football. Good win for the conference though - I just wonder how the playoff committee will decide to move the target on us this year. Oh well, so happy its football season again!
WKU had a TON of drops last night - that I do not think were caused by coverage by Vandy. Drops will kill a pass-heavy offense.
After they beat us last November and word came that Doughty was getting a 6th year, everybody tabbed their 2015 team to go far. But they also went 4-4 in a really sh-tty conference. They aren't that great of a team.
Its the same thing with Marshall. Are we that good, or is it the schedule? We'll find out Sunday, when maybe the biggest dumpster fire in P5 rolls into town.

Vandy wins that game with ease if they would've had an average at best QB. WKUs TE scares me.....
