Worse the Second Time

Your last line has me LMBO. How's that working out right now?

lmbo? are you a teenage girl?

again, since you apparently are a teenage girl who fails at reading, where have i mentioned danny at all in this thread, other than to point out to you the first time i never mentioned danny.

but yeah, we could do significantly better than a guy that one of the sketchiest basketball programs in the country in the last 15 years.

Anything new on 2016 recruiting? Looks like we have 2 schollys left to give.

Have we thrown in the towel on Levi Cook?

Here's a recent report on him from November......I did hear a rumor that he left Elev8.

ESPN says that “Cook is a wide body inside the lane with a very soft touch. He has a terrific understanding of how to best utilize his frame to create space and angles to the rim. He has terrific hands to make tough catches and the dexterity to score with both hands around the rim.” ESPN currently has Cook ranked as a four star player and give him a rank of 80.

24/7 Sports says that “with his game built more on size than mobility, Cook does have a great feel for passing the basketball and has touch on his shot.” He is ranked No. 186 in the 247Sports Composite.

The Competition

Besides the Friars Cook is currently being pursued by Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Missouri, Michigan, and East Tennessee.

The Bottom Line

Cook has said he may not choose a college until the spring signing period. If the Friars are still looking to add a big man at that point look for them to make a push for Cook. They may add him to the squad even if they sign a big man during the November signing period.

Again.....Sure think he's worth the risk if we're still in the hunt with him.

You must be very old, that's ok. I never said you mentioned Danny anywhere. I'm merely suggesting names to replace the coach we have now, which is going to be inevitable based on how things have transpired so far during his tenure. As for Bolen, I'd take him over Dan right now. If you wouldn't that's up to you in not trying to change your mind. I still think he's an improvement over the past two coaches we've hired here.

All I know is that we won last night.

I also know that the WV kids looked good out there. Burks put up around 20, Browning did good and played a TON of minutes. Kilgore came in and hit a big three and also played decent on defense.

We have a good group of young guys for DD to build a program around. Don't give up on him just yet.

That is not fair.

Are fans "enjoying" a MU win? Yeah.

And? EIU, 2-4 from the kidding itself by being in Div I OVC was PAID to be here.

EKU and Grand Canyon in the consolation game in Las Vegas are the only toss ups I see in the remaining pre-season. NC Central is probably a win. The rest are certain losses. There are probably 4 to 6 wins in the conference, including catching a good team napping one night.

And?

8-20? 10-18? 6-24? Does it really matter? People are supposed to get all puffy that we beat an OVC team? EKU? NC Central? Grand Canyon (which is an on-line fake college) ? Florida Atlantic? North Texas? And do what the other 90% of the time?

This is a bad team that is having one of the worst years going.

Just a couple of comments on some things in this thread. First Mountain State U. was a joke of a school, period. The operative word there is "was" as MSU no longer exists. The ineptitude and fraud allegedly perpetrated by some of its administrators resulted in massive amounts of litigation that lasted years.

Second, Levi Cook might have a large upside but to say he is a "project" is probably an understatement. Good kid, but soft and maybe not college material. Hopefully things work out for him somewhere.

Unfortunately, I don't think he wants to be "coached".

Tons of potential and natural ability for a kid his size......But you know what they say about potential? "Potential gets coaches fired".

Flyhawk you consider a team that is 1 and 6 with Lot of WV kids doing well! Interesting. Let's see how well they play vs Eastern Kentucky, WVU, Maryland, Wyoming, Grand Canyon (currently 7-1), and then CUSA. I do hope the kids from WV do well BUT - IMO, Danny has got to get some players who are being seriously recruited by other D1 programs.
