At the MU AD, sorta. Anyways, I brought to them the idea from here about the game conflict. Don't worry, I took no credit for it.

They sent out a tweet, well, Jeff O'Malley did...they pushed back the mens tip off to 8:00. Stating due to the Bowl game so fans could watch both.
No word on if the Cam will be open early for a viewing party (I included it in the message).
But I'll mention it again and see if something can be done.

For the record, no, I am not in any way directly involved in MU AD or MU in employment for that matter. I simply wrote a message to some higher ups, easily available to message by anyone, and this is what happened.

I wrote it almost immediately after it was brought up.
Considering everyone's views of Hamrick "not doing anything" its not out of possibility. But who knows.
Nobody wrote about the change, nobody metioned it here except for the initial suggestion.
But continue to blow your gaskets there and get all worked up.

Mike, we appreciate your support and great ideas. We put the finishing touches on moving the @HerdMBB game to 8:00p.m. and are working on game watching details in the Henderson Center. Stay tuned and GO HERD!

Has this ever happened @ MU before? Great event potential. Hopefully 9000 in green watching our football Herd, then carrying that energy into the b-ball game! Advertise this: get your tickets now, as we anticipate to be sold out!! Love your ideas abt giveaways ......

No way someone in the AD saw that there would be an overlap in the FB bowl game and the BB game with OU, potentially impacting BB attendance and coming to the conclusion..........why don't we just push BB back an hour. that's straight up out of the box thinking.

..................assuming they are thinking about bringing in some big screens.............and possibly a better sound system for the audio part of the broadcast? You see cut-outs showing the schools fans sitting in an arena going nuts.................excellent move.

Yeah, clock ticking down for 1st negative post about this event. They didn't have enough glow sticks. The concessions @ the Cam are overpriced. I don't like the size of the screen. You can't hear from the upper section. Why do the Big Green members get to watch from those chairbacks on the end? I don't think Dan should have let the b-ball team watch the 1st half of the game - too distracting for them. Ohio sucks. We are going to get our doors blown off because we don't play defense. We don't have a big. It's really cold outside, think I will stay home. We can't tailgate. Wah, wah, wah...........how am I doing so far? 3........2.........1.......

Old enough. Try reading some posts and you'll figure it out. If not, I'm sure your lawyer can.

That doesn't even make sense.

Now, tell us all again how your email to the athletic department was the catalyst for them to change the game time of the basketball game. I am sure that none of the guys - professionals who have been in the business for decades - thought about the basketball game interfering with the bowl game time.

Brilliant. I can't believe they didn't offer you a job, kid.

You never know what the "professionals" at Marshall are thinking sometimes.

If they did offer me a job, that'd mean I would be working at a higher level than you, "FCS top 10 recruiting class."
Get back to the bench JV.

I've been at the FBS level in the past, and I have been back at that level for almost a year now.

Probably not doing much recruiting considering he is on here arguing back and forth.

I can't recruit off-campus until January. Like usual, my team's recruiting ranking is #1 in the conference. Amazing how that works. I must have some amazing luck for the team that I am apart of always has the #1 recruiting class in the conference and top 10/20 in the country.

Do you think your tax plan is actually going to work? Some are concerned.

He'd prolly do a better job. That's for damn sure. Doesn't take much effort or brains to send tweets out all day, send emails or make Facebook posts.

Zilla, Herd fans not necessarily unique when it comes to the "bitching" department. Saban and Coach K. win by 45 points and I'm sure there are many Tide fanatics and "dookies" bitching because they didn't win by 50!!

Yep. Some of our fellow posters need to get out more or watch some games on the tube. Hell, we are lightweights compared to many programs.

I don't think The HERD are lightweights at all when you look at our body of work in the quality of sports programs we participate in. No, we will never been in the same league as Bama, Oklahoma, Texas, Clemson, etc-----but we are "pretty dang" good at where we are in the scheme of things,

GO HERD...beat CSU

I was referring to your comment about our fans bitching. We are lightweights compared to other fan bases. We're not close to the worst. Quite tame actually.

Got a phone call for proxy tickets. I can't make the game but may get those instead. I'm pretty sure something official will be said (if it hasn't already) about the Cam and game watching soon.

Wouldn't it make more sense to move the basketball game to a 1 or 1:30p tip off and then have a bowl game watching party after in The Cam?

I know that was your original idea bbking. But, think about watching the bowl game 1st, leading directly into the hardwood tilt w/ OU. Makes more sense to me. Football should end just about tip-off.

Its official.

Marshall will be showing the Bowl game at the Cam at 4:00, with video on the big board as well as on several other TV's in the arena.
Audio will be played over the sound system and throughout the concourse.
It will go until 7:00, at which point, audio will be put back for the Basketball team warmups. The video will still be played however.

In the event the game extends beyond 7:30, the video board will return back to basketball but throughout the arena on several TV's, the game will be shown.

Seating is first come first serve basis until 7:00 at which point, fans will be asked to return to their designated seating for the basketball game.

So, if MU finally finds some offense and plays well and the game is close with 4-5 minutes remaining, that would be very exciting... it also would probably be at right about 7:30, when they are going to turn the game off of the video board! What a great plan. What do they show on the video board 30 mins pregame that is more important than the end of our bowl game? What if it went into OT? This plan makes no sense...
