I'm guessing that you guys believe that the vetting process for a K 1 visa is the same as that for a refugee.
This was discussed on reddit and I read some earlier.
They're not the same process but there is some overlap - wish I could find the link but I'm on mobile. It was informative.
If we don't get the visa process right then it's not unreasonable to think there may be some concern with the refugee process. This is not she used an address that wasn't hers....she used one that doesn't even exist. Seems like a big oversight.
I can't even buy toilet paper on Amazon if I don't get the correct address that matches my credit card there. It's hard to fathom that you can get a Visa with a non existent address.
I'm not saying that she was intentionally misleading - I'm just saying that it seems that a basic screening process may have some flaws if the address is in fact bogus.
With all that said, apparently her hometown was a crap hole, so maybe she legit lived in a shack with no address.
It just doesn't give me warm and fuzzies about the whole vetting process.
I'm all for the Syrian refugees being allowed to come in. That doesn't mean I assume that the vetting process is perfect. According to what I've read, it would be easier for a terrorist to come into the country in a different way.
Just blame Obama
