"at least $880 billion in cuts largely to Medicaid"

WASHINGTON (AP) — House Republicans have unveiled the cost-saving centerpiece of President Donald Trump's “big, beautiful bill,” at least $880 billion in cuts largely to Medicaid to help cover the cost of $4.5 trillion in tax breaks.

Tallying hundreds of pages, the legislation revealed late Sunday is touching off the biggest political fight over health care since Republicans tried but failed to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare, during Trump's first term in 2017.

While Republicans insist they are simply rooting out “waste, fraud and abuse” to generate savings with new work and eligibility requirements, Democrats warn that millions of Americans will lose coverage. A preliminary estimate from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said the proposals would reduce the number of people with health care by 8.6 million over the decade.

GOP TO CUT MEDICAID. WHY NOT GO AFTER THE RICH'S TAX EVASION?

$880 billion in cuts largely to Medicaid to help cover the cost of $4.5 trillion in tax breaks.
That's 88 billion per year for the next 10 years.

Tax evasion by millionaires and billionaires tops $150 billion a year, says IRS chief

The MAGATS prefer to punish the elderly, poor, and children rather than making the rich pay their legal responsibility.

It's a pleasure being wealthy

Once this big beautiful bill is passed, I'll have extra dough for pleasurable activities again, things like $20 martinis, $9 beers, and more cash to frequent nudie bars.

Was supposed to retire in 17 days, but geezer ruined it by playing the grim reaper card to trump my success.

Anybody live in Paris? I'm told that's where moderately wealthy retirees go to live out the twilight years. That's Paris, Tennessee.

EO tomorrow on Pharmacy and prescription drugs

As a market guy, I really don’t like it. But I also understand healthcare hasn’t been a “market” based endeavor for decades. The govt has been meddling and creating massive imbalances in a big way in this sector since the ‘70s. It’s a monstrous weave of govt official kickbacks and payoffs that have enshrined the crony capitalist that run healthcare organizations today.

“Healthcare” is the largest lobby in Washington today. Why? Because Govt fvcked it all up decades ago. And they’ve continued to fvck it up. And to play the game in the world of socialized medicine…which we actually have in the U.S, you have to have the cronies in Washington trying to keep the $$$ taps on and keep many of these companies financially viable.

Any govt “fix” aside from getting out of the healthcare business altogether (which will obviously not happen) won’t have the desired effects most claim to want. This is just another poor version of “price fixing” that will add another layer of govt involvement and manipulation.

The down stream effects of this will also be another blow to research universities, medical schools and medical providers who participate in this pharma R&D. This is a cash cow revenue stream that will shrink, leaving many of these schools and universities scrambling to find $$ to pay these tenured researchers.

Stock Market set to soar CNN

You must be a little slow. I know I have gone over this before, so try to pay attention this time.

Here is the thread: https://marshall.forums.rivals.com/threads/more-mo.66700/#post-1041956

Posted Aug. 10th. Months before the election. You failed to take the bet with Greed because you were so confident about the election.

In the same thread, EG offered you the bet 1001 times. In which you declined. Because you had no faith (unlike me).

There is your proof, loser!
seriously, are you special needs? there's 7 posts in that thread and none of them are directed at me. not. a. single. one. 6 from greed directed at michigan and sisters; none directed at you, either, other than greed requesting assistance for you. while likely not a ruhtard, yore mentally deranged liberalism accompanied by a severe case of TDS sure is shining through!

I'm not here to make friends, certainly not friends with you. I don't care to influence people either. If I wanted to do that, I'd be off of here and getting followers on social media.
I haven't a clue why you think I'd be this way outside of here. I love talking travel and vacations. I've traveled often and will conitnue to do so.
I wouldn't argue if you think Utah is beautiful. I know it is. Same with Arizona and that canyon they have.
I really don't know what saying those things has to do with the focus of Marshall sports (which is what this board is meant to be for...not random travel locations, hence the "Sir, this is a Marshall sports discussion board" comment).
Then again, the presumption of such things is a common problem with you...much like you presumed the team would fail after losing 1 conference game, and the presumptions you've made about the team and have been monumentally wrong about.

It's you, and others, who are so convinced they know what to do, how to do it, and could do a better job than Marshall's AD, president, Huntington's mayor, the head coaches, and players...and your ideas are either really stupid, or are wrong, that you absolutely deserve to be made fun of and told how dumb you are...because nobody on this board has ever attempted to actually assemble, lead, put forth any of the ideas presented, nor seems to have any intentions to beyond an e-mail to the AD.

It's one thing to be critical of something, its an entirely different thing to declare ineptitude and claim you could do better...nobody here is particularly qualified nor driven to really go beyond posting, which is fine, but don't be upset or shocked when you get called out on foolish thoughts.

If you think Destin, Florida is the greatest place on Earth to visit, that's fine, I wouldn't make fun of you, I wouldn't ridicule you, because I have a life outside of here and friends that I respect in real life, not online ones.
Personally, I'd love to visit Socotra, but Yemen is in absolute civil turmoil and it's highly advised to not visit there due to kidnapping and detention. Sucks too because it is a fascinating looking island.

It's not a war, I don't particularly care of the opinions of aging online posters, and I really don't care about "winning" online arguments...apparently you do, and I have my opinion on that, but I'll keep it to myself...so your feelings don't get hurt.
Uhhh…..I rest my case. Also, at this point I believe there is sufficient written evidence that you can be judged an ageist…
