Listening to Huff's press conference he made mention of the transfers that they took in that should make them better.
There is one local kid that Huff said stood out to him and was really good and reminded him of Julian Edleman. That player is WR Chance Knox out of Capital High School. He transferred to Stony Brook from VMI.
AT VMI (2020-23): Accumulated over 2,000 yards, 140 receptions, and scored six touchdowns in 30 games for VMI... Finished fourth on the team in receptions (29) and receiving yardage (264) averaging 9.1 yards per catch as a freshman... First college reception was a 19-yard TD pass that proved to be the game winner in the 14-13 win season opening over Furman (Feb. 27, 2021)... Totaled 22 receptions and two touchdowns during sophomore season... Led VMI in receptions (58) and yards (535) with two touchdowns in 11 games as a junior... Recorded a reception in every game, grabbing eight or more four times during 2022, including four catches for 33 yards at No. 22 Wake Forest (Sept. 1, 2022)... Surpassed 400 total yards over seven games in 2023.
