Official communication from the desk of Michigan J. Herd

I don't know why Michigan is still fighting this after all of these years and showcasing himself as whiney little bitch. Listen, I an sick. I haven't been sick in years, and I have a really bad cold. So of all of the time, I suggest Michigan not being a whiney little bitch while I have a short fuse.

The reality is that I play by a different set of rules. Why? A mixture of all of these: I pack the stadium; the mods saw what I did while hacking HerdFans and are scared of me doing the same here; they find me entertaining; I share their political views; all of their intelligence combined, just like with the deplorables on here, still don't equal my intelligence.

The fact is that I am just a far superior poster to anything you will ever be, Michigan. I am the reason why the HN Hall-of-Fame was built. I am the legend of this board.

Seriously, what on earth is Michigan getting suspended for?
He said some really, really terrible things. He claimed that blacks were "savages." He claimed that women shouldn't have the right to vote. He claimed that he avoided hotels where blacks were and hated being on the same plane with blacks. He claimed Jews were purposely trying to destroy America. He made extremely homophobic comments. He claimed that no black civilization has ever prospered nor were there any societies that blacks could create on their own that would succeed.

Oh, wait. That wasn't MIchigan. That was your best friend, Nick Goff of Huntington, who said all of that and more.

Pussy moderators: why does rifle get a free pass for doxxing other posters? Why does rifle get away with telling the moderators to suck a crank? Why do rifles rule breaking posts simply get moved to another forum?

Meanwhile, the distinguished Michigan Herd is continually suspended for much lesser so-called rules violations?

Are the mods left wing pussies? Are the mods afraid of rifle, or do they simply turn a blind eye due to having political commonality?

Are posts about demeaning the university president fair game? Would Michigan Herd be allowed to do the same?

Stop rate is an indicator that declines rapidly in predictability when you start getting under 70%. It’s fairly obvious from your table, only 22 teams at 70% or better, then 27 teams between 69.9 and 65.4%. Those 27 teams are a mix of good, average, and bad teams.

The average team has 11-12 possessions a game. I think that looking at defensive points allowed isn’t really different from stop rate. Both tell you who has the most effective defenses where it matters most.

saw this today and thought it was interesting.

What is stop rate? It's a basic measurement of success: the percentage of a defense's drives that end in punts, turnovers or a turnover on downs. Defensive coordinators have the same goal regardless of their scheme, opponent or conference: prevent points and get off the field. Stop rate is a simple metric but can offer a good reflection of a defense's effectiveness on a per-drive basis in today's faster-tempo game.

Last year, national champ Michigan finished No. 1 with a stop rate of 81.6% in its games against FBS opponents. The top 25 teams in the final 2023 stop rate standings won a total of 249 games, with seven earning conference titles. Great teams find a way to get stops in critical situations.
