There’s a good show in tonight on ESPN that reflects on sports right after 9/11. I think it runs 700-830 May be worth watching or recording. Take a moment and set aside all the bickering and opinions that goes on here daily and I hope everyone takes a minute to reflect on this day 17 years ago. The way ICE was handling the situation was absurd. My issue with Trump is his rally cry to point one instance in which an illegal committed a crime and it being the focal point to create mass hysteria, native born committ more crimes than illegals and that study has been proven. He was playing to his base and it stirred not only national but world controversy. As for some of his ideas and thoughts on it I don’t necessarily have an issue with. If Trump could do a few things, and that’s control his ego, stop his social media campaign, and admit he’s not perfect and show some humility his presidency could turn out so much different.

One problem with this sentence, every illegal immigrant, by sheer definition, is a felon having committed the felony of entering the U.S. illegally. Therefore, 100% of illegal immigrants are felons, which is a much higher percentage than those born here.

Second, as to another part of your post, learn the difference between ICE and the Border Patrol. A lot of liberals conflate the two. ICE has zero to do with the separation of families at the border, which I assume is your problem. That's Border Patrol. ICE tracks down illegals in the country with the vast majority of their arrests being individuals that have felony convictions (in addition to their felonious entry into the country). Liberals like to blame this on ICE because they can't say "we need to get rid of Border Patrol" because it completely unmasks their true objective. So they incorrectly blame ICE.

First of all, it is NOT a felony to illegally enter the United States. I feel like I just had to correct another deplorable on this within the last few months. I believe it takes three convictions of that same offense for it to be a felony or two instances if there is another mitigating factor involved. Second, your comment about ICE and Border Patrol is mostly accurate but also somewhat false and misleading. ICE is responsible for transporting the children away from their parents to a Health and Human Services facility. The parents are with the children at the border detention facility, at which point, ICE transports the children away from their parents, thus separating them. ICE doesn't choose who gets separated; that is U.S. Customs & Border Patrol. But ICE is, technically, the group separating them by transporting the children away.
