I spoke to a booster that is close with the program and Doc himself. Pretty much said Doc is retiring after next year so he could receive a full state pension. He said Doc will be a state employee for 30 years and will finish out of current contract and retire after next season.
Im not sure the validity but I know he is also at the Quarterback Club meetings and has personally known Doc since their HS days.
