Talking about why we didnt let Morrel throw it around more. Couldnt have been any worse. Said we were too conservative. Cant disagree.

I agree. Way to conservative. The QB received a scholarship so let him earn it. Tonight was a long shot anyway. I would rather get blown out while trying to play instead of three yards and a cloud of dust.
I was so pissed at Leggs approach. You aren't supposed to even come close to winning this game yet you play the most conservative you possibly could in one of the biggest games in stadium history against the #3 team in the nation. This is typical Legg offense in these games. I told my friend before we went into the game that Legg would run the ball until we were down by 3-4 scores then throw some. How about some imagination. You aren't supposed to win so play balls out!! Why play that conservative BS??

So why would they put him in situations where he can't throw the ball till third and long then let Louisville tee off on him. Louisville got two scores cuz of thst crap.
It was irresponsible and lazy play calling.
"Morell clearly sucks"??... Good God he is a true Freshman starting his first game in front on 40,000+ against the #3 team in the country. You honestly think that is realistic sample size to form such a definitive evaluation?... But I'm sure you would have lead The Herd to victory.
Morell was set up for failure. With the play calling, or lack of, he never stood a chance to show what he could do.
I agree. I thought Morell played like a deer frozen looking at the headlight at first. However, once the speed of the game slowed down some he improved. I just wonder if this #3 team was Ohio State or Alabama instead of Louisville if we would be raking the team over the coals. We played #1 Fl in Byrons Jr season and took a bad beating in 2001. This was the kids first game.There is no way I could say he is no good after this game.Heck of a way to play first game IMO.
