What is the deal with these super-sized bean bag helmets?. They make their heads look huge and deformed. Looks like like an inflatable pool float.

If you arr really that hurt do they think wearing a souvenir on your head helps.

Looks like one of those things you win at the fair if you hit three free throws with that big ball in the small hoop.

Reminds me of 1971. Had a kid that always wore something that resembled a rock climbing helmet get on the school bus. He did that for a few days, and one morning he started beating his head on the bus window. They are called the Guardian cap. They are supposed to reduce head impacts and limit the risk for concussions. They are making their way down to the high school level. Not a ton of research on if they are that effective but nfl changed the rule to make them ok to wear during games this year. They have been worn at practices for a few years

I’m pretty sure college kids were them in the first practices of camp specifically. I’ve seen Marshall players wear them, they didn’t have the M on them though
