For those that don't like Grant as our QB.

I’m still a big fan!! It’s awesome to see that intensity. It fires you up!

I’m also a fan of Grant he has the physical tools to be one of the best to play here. I just want him to work on his decision making that’s all. When you have guys wide open and you force a ball into double and triple coverage that’s an issue. But I still think he’s the best and I think he will be great.

Don’t disagree with what he says at all. But let’s watch the ASU game and pay particular attention to Wells, and let’s count how many throws he makes with bad touch, overthrown, underthrown, and see if his decision making doesn’t cost us.

Obviously people have forgotten the Snyder years and QB’s; or the Doc years with exception of Cato.
Imagine being pissed at a QB with a 69-70 completion % with 300+ yds/game this year. Does he need to protect the ball? Yes. Does he need to work on some mechanics and touch? Yes. But he is by far the best QB we've had playing the position in several seasons at MU. Wells did not "cost us" last Saturday. Period.

Amen.

Great! He moves between the 20’s well. Here is where he stands on the rankings.
Yards-4th
TD’s-59th
INT’s-114th
QBR-64th
Imagine using Yards as a barometer of success for a QB and thinking it’s intelligent to do do.

Does he really JUST move the ball well between the 20s? Because we're 8th in the country in points scored/game.

Points scored is a pretty good barometer, no?

Imagine still scoring 16 of 21 times inside the 20 yd line...14 of which were touchdowns. Sorry. Still not all on Wells.

13 Rushing TD’s vs 4 Passing TD’s. I’m giving more credit for our scoring per game to the O line a bit more than Wells. I don’t discredit Wells passing yards, but that’s not the one stat everyone points to when evaluating a QB.

Didn’t say it was all in Wells, but if you ask me who the weakest skill player on this team is, I’m going to say Wells. And he has been the past 6 games. His production numbers prove that (outside of one stat, Yards)

So he is moving us up and down the field consistently, but just not throwing TDs every play. Cool.

Preposterously stupid and uninformed take. Stunning, even for message board standards.

Kudos. You have set a new bar.

Make an argument for another offensive skill player who’s been less consistent than Wells. I’ll wait
Gammage, Evans, Gaines, Johnson, and many more. I will name them if I need to.

Wells is consistently leading and offense that would have 3 blowouts. Instead, the D checked completely out and cost us a layup of a game.

I actually typed it a few seconds ago. If you are insinuating a 4 year old person could type that, I doubt it.

How's that for a juvenile way to respond?

I am, but I’m probably giving the 4 year old more credit than I should in this comparison. All things considered from the source here

600 yds of offense per game, 7 yds per play and 16-21 scores inside the 20 in first 3 games with a QB that puts us inside the 20 for those opportunities. Where exactly are the inconsistencies?

We have bigger issues on this squad. Such as a swiss cheese secondary. Atrocious. App may have a field day. WKU certainly will if we don't get better.

Navy- 333 yards 2 Picks 0 TD’s
NCCU-344 yards 3TD’s 1 Pick
ECU- 433 yards 1 TD 2 picks

A lot of yards ending in a lot of bad decisions.

Context:

Navy 2 TD saving tackles on WR inside the 5 leading to rushing TDs
NCCU 3 TDs.....I guess should have had 6????
ECU 1 WR fumble/TO in the endzone

Realistically, 3 potential throwing TDs by a QB that lead us down the field and put us in a position to score.

Your MVP? You avoid this question quite often
