SOme of the pool people suggest saltwater is harder on your hardware/pumps, and pool surface if gunnite. Obviously the convenience seems a big plus though.

We have a saltwater pool system and are very pleased with it. Recommend it highly.
At my age, I would have to go for an Epson Salt pool.
