This guy really gets into the analytics of spacing and shooting the 3, and why Marshall and UMBC were able to get wins. Whole bunch of tweets, but in one he mentions if Marshall keeps this style, they may or may not win tournaments, but they can win 20 games a year, every year.

I was thinking about this today. I'm not sure if it's 100% the plays, but the calling and type of basketball. D'Antoni has other teams playing at MU level.
By playing a up and down offense it's kept Wich. St and WKU from doing what they wanted too. Good coaches can get the opponents to play out their style, and in to theirs. I remember Paul Westhead did that at LMU in their run in the early 90's.
