I've seen enough of Wells after one series

Four interceptions and a loss. Wonder if Wells will ask for a transfer redo?

So many people on here love Wells, and I still can’t figure out why. I’m glad he left. I just hope he doesn’t put up 70 against us next year. Lol. He is either really hot, or really not. And tonight, he was def not.
He won’t be starting QB by week 4

Hate seeing all the comments. I wish him well and hope he improves and beats WVU in a couple weeks.
I agree. The guy wanted to play for a program he probably grew up loving. He didn't get an offer to there after high school but with the new transfer rules he seized the chance. I thought he had potential here but didn't develop much. Good luck kid. Also, if we start the hate every transfer it's going to be a real negative place around here. Just watching the past few days it seems every team is boasting several transfers including ours.

I think it has more to do with people disappointed with Wells’ time here and being a local kid. Then this past week his dad, David making comments to the Athletic on why Grant left and thinking he was better than Marshall is only going to turn what remaining support they had against Wells.

^That's certainly part of it.

My reasoning is because I'm a vindictive prick, and I want to make sure everyone on here who argued with me that Grant's subpar performances were no fault of his own, blamed everything on Cramsey, the WR's, etc., know that I was right.

What comments were made. I haven’t seen them

“I just don’t know if I want to stay in Huntington again,” he told his dad.

David has always been Grant’s biggest backer and confidant, so they talked it out. Yes, it was a good situation at Marshall, where he had no ill will, but Grant thought he could achieve a little more.

“I think he just in his heart, I just really believed that he had more to give, and I think he wanted to prove himself more from where he was,”David said. “And I think he knew that he could play at a bigger level. And he thought, you know what? I want to try.”

Ehh I don’t see those as that bad. Not taking a shot at Marshall at all just saying he thinks he can succeed on a bigger stage.
