Lower Tax Refunds

LIE #4
Comparing the impact of increasing wages for the small crew at your failed cabinet business to that in fast food chains is apples to oranges. Either you know this and playing dumb or you truly are stupid.

It's you that is stupid. Are you going to take a stab at this?....How much do you think I'd have to raise the cost of a $15,000 kitchen to compensate for that type of raise?

What does a kitchen cabinet business have to do with a fast food restaurant operation? Are you seriously now trying to compare your garage workshop to a fast food operation's financials?

Are you seriously trying to tell us that the laws of economics and business are entirely different from one business to another? Want to take a stab at this liarherdfan?...How much do you think I'd have to raise the cost of a $15,000 kitchen to compensate for that type of raise?

2 employees at 40 hours, 50 weeks a year would be an additional $34-$35K per year (you said employeeS, so i'll assume a minimum of 2). now, how many kitchens do you sell a year? 1 a month, 2? do the math. approximately 10%, perhaps?

see, that's just it. how is doubling the minimum wage going to get people out of poverty as you've claimed when it's obviously going to drive the price of goods and services up even higher? they'll make more money, but they'll be paying more out. at the end of the day, they'll still be poorsonous.

Are you seriously trying to tell us that the laws of economics and business are entirely different from one business to another?

Yes you moron. The financial requirements, capitalization structures, economies of scale, etc between two different businesses and sectors of the economy are different.

You want us to "take a stab" at your asinine question??? Go ahead and post your full financials so we can see what we have to work with.

Your stab is too high.

Using your stab %, if prices go up 10% and someones wages go up 100%+, how does that not help a minimum wage worker?

my stab of 1 to 2 a month is too high? that means the cost of your cabinets goes up, what, 20%, 30%?

But those same principles are common to businesses. Don't try to change the subject, moron. Instead, try to explain why a fast food restaurant would have to double or triple their prices to pay for a minimum wage increase from 7.25 to 15 per hour.

This just in:
An expert’s analysis of the backwoods cabinet industry has shown that increasing labor costs barely impacts the cost of goods. Therefore, the government is going to mandate a $7.75/hour increase to every American’s pay.

^^^look^^^ Yet another idiot with nothing to offer.

Was not your stab of 10% regarding the percentage I would have to increase my cabinets to pay for the minimum wage increase?

shudufukup, i'm trying to be nice. i want an answer, i'm really trying to understand his thought process.

For people who believe that doubling the minimum wage would double the cost of fast food products, there is no capability for understanding.

Yeah, understandable. On a rare occasion, I will feel sorry for him, much like what you're doing.

so, given that increasing an employee's pay by $7.75 an hour would result in you increasing your labor burden by ~$34,000 per year, how much would it cause you to increase the cost of a $15,000 kitchen? i'm genuinely interested.

you'll never quote me saying that. while i do believe it would increase the cost of the food products, i've never made the statement it would double it.

extra do you think that the cost of materials would increase if you doubled the minimum wage? If so by how much and how would that increase effect your business

Who is trying to change the subject?
You’re the moron attempting to compare a 2 employee cabinet business to a fast food restaurant.

“Principles”?? Do you actually mean “metrics” which measure the potential financial success or failure of a business?

You are telling us the metrics of a fast food biz and cabinetry biz are the same? Which specific metrics are the same? You’re essentially telling us that all businesses are measured and evaluated the same. You are hysterical.

Just post your financials so a real analysis can be made.

6.2%

And you have nowhere near the labor costs as a fast food chain. Apples to oranges.

And yet a study by Purdue University concludes the price increase of fast food restaurant prices to cover the $15 minimum wage would be between 4.4% to 9.1%, depending on location. <The average increase, 6.75% is about the same as my 6.2% would be. That means your Big Mac goes from 3.99 to 4.35 at worse case scenario. And that's pretty much apples to apples.

In other words. You really have no idea and are completely guessing what your % would be.
