Things that killed Huntington IMO:

Not allowing Interstate 64 to pass through Huntington.
Allowing the Huntington Mall to be built in Barbousrville.
Not allowing the dog track and casino to be built in Huntington.

These are failures of epic size and if they would have happened different the last thing Huntington would be worried about is how to keep the city looking clean. I'm a Huntington native and even though I'm a WVU fan I still have pride for my hometown.

Its not Marshall's fault for the area around the university there is only so much Marshall can do.

I wish Marshall would have built the new football stadium on the river. I always hated the location they chose and would loved to have seen the stadium on the bank of the Ohio River. Now that would be an awesome game day setting.

If you are a WVU fan you have no say in this topic. The maintenance of Henderson center inside and outside is pitiful. When you walk in to the concession area you have a feeling of a middle school or high school game with the tables set up selling lemonade and popcorn. The concession area needs totally revamped. Inside the arena needs cleaned. Layers upon layers of dirt and dust on the ledges etc.
