This is a very nice facility they have in Morgantown, I really hope the stadium in Htgn is as good or better.
I’ve only been to a couple of B12 fields but I think say the M’town stadium would rank as a middle of the pack ACC ballpark, which is pretty good.
WV hosted as good a regional as I’ve attended, of course my opinion might be skewed because Duke boat raced the field. ;)
Here’s hoping the new Marshall stadium lifts the program as it obviously has up there.

Were you at the A&M game yesterday afternoon? I watched the last two innings, and actually had to rewind the last three batters for A&M in the bottom of the 9th, just to make sure I saw what I thought I had saw. Being a WVU fan has to be tough.

Yep.

Yeah I saw the finish. I would say RM got burned looking ahead to playing Duke in the night cap. Stuck with his guy when he was obviously struggling. The moment got too big and what happened next is why baseball is a great game. You have to finish the job, no kneel downs no dribble out the clock.
I know I’m not supposed to say it but I really felt terrible for the kid who threw the pitch and the whole team. I’ve been on both sides of that situation and it’s completely gut wrenching.

In college baseball, you have to have a deep staff, particularly a decent bullpen you can count on. Like WVU, Michigan also blew a 3 run lead in the 9th, and lost 11-7. Bullpen, in 1 2/3 innings, gave up 4 hits, hit two batters, and allowed 6 walks. I know they're used to playing 3 games per weekend, and mostly have a weekday starter against non-conference opponents, but if you lose early, you end up having to play 4-5 times over a long weekend. Michigan plays Creighton again tonight, but it will probably be a 13-11 type game, and it's hard to tell who will be the unfortunate team to win, and have to face UCLA this coming weekend.

Double elimination usually identifies the team with the best staff. Always lots of runs scored on Sunday and Monday of regionals.

I couldn't believe how nice wv's baseball stadium is. . If Marshall's is half that nice I would be satisfied. WV gets them huge checks from the big 12

As much as I want to believe it, I find it hard to imagine we can fit a 3000 seat baseball stadium within the site chosen. If so, it's only gonna be 250 or so down the right field line. Unless they can convince ACF to let us buy a small slice of their large lot that borders it. jmho. Looking forward to watching Herd baseball there.

You just had to...didn't you?

What? Share an opinion on the space they are using to create our new stadium. What's your beef? That I questioned the dimensions down the right field line? Oh wait, you haven't driven by there yet so you can't provide your expert analysis?
BTW, My donation to Herd Rises is in school coffers and I'll be at the first game in the new stadium.

The stadium hasn't even been built, its been drawn out and thats it.
It has nothing to do with driving by, but just gotta throw in the naysaying doubt about something not even physically built.

It was just an opinion on the right field line based on a visual. No more, no less. It wasn’t a complaint or indictment of the school, Hamrick or anyone. You need to calm down this about this stuff.
