College Presidents today would not have been able to deal with the problems of the past. They would have just shut everything down and refused to take any risks at all. I hope the movement announced today by college footballs biggest names gets some traction. If the players all stood together and said they want to play, would any of the decisions be reversed? What about scholarships, and season ticket holders, and all the commitments made by ESPN and corporations to bring football to fans? The financial impact will be substantial. Spring football? How will this work? It will be interesting to hear the rationale for shutting everything down. Player health concerns does not hold water.
