Think of MU basketball as a family. Mom want to save and invest and live frugally and all of that. Dad just want to be a slacker. BUT, one time, dad went to the casino and put it all on 27 and it hit. So, that is dad’s economic plan. The lottery.
That is MU basketball. Some of us understood that DD is all idiotic slogans and folksy BS. We were slapped down with “one time, from 4th place, we went on an 8 day winning streak, it might happen again some day.” Just as “hit the lottery” is no substitute for a proper lifestyle of work and investment, slogans and hope for a lucky streak is no substitute for a qualified coach and DI level players.

There is merit in your criticism. The over dependence on Serbian players and lazy recruiting of project type players have certainly contributed to where we find MU today. But I did not think we'd reach these depths, at the beginning of the season I thought we'd hover around .500 for the year but that seems like wishful thinking at this point! Saw on Fandual where we are a 1.5 favorite tonight, FIU must be God awful to be a home dog to us so maybe we'll get a much needed win tonight but not sure it will mean much when we review the season in March.
I did not realize that Sammie disliked DD so much. Nor did I realize that DH was a gawd to him. And finally, I have come to realize that Sammie does not want to give CH any chance at all. lol

Apparently the fans in Cali really bonded over that historic (for MU) victory. You can fire away at Dan, but you can’t take that moment away. How many teams go undefeated in a regular season? Maybe two. Its much harder than you think to go undefeated and many teams lose games to someone they shouldn't.

Where we are discussing what the BASKETBALL coach is so fundamentally inept that he has been unable to field a team that can win a game in on the the bottom BASKETBALL conferences (average seed for its champion, 13th of 16) in America.
And, at least I, am willing to discuss how foolish we fans look to outsiders by saying that one-time, years ago, we won one game in the NCAAs, just like 100s of other teams (many from smaller and more obscure colleges that this one). Makes us look silly and small time.

The administration will, in about 6 weeks, have the choice of continuing to alienate more and more of the fan base, many never to return, or of doing the right thing. Giving DD a gold watch and a one-way ticket to Myrtle Beach, firing the rest of the staff, and then having the new, qualified, coach run off as many players as he can.
