Way to go catfanatic. You've drawn unwanted attention to Huntington. Pat yourself on the back.
well the Hodge twins got it!So you're shooting the messenger and not the culprit? Don't you think it was only a matter of time before the situation was going to go viral?
Huntington didnt run them out, they ran them selves out by not listening to their customers. Real simple.Huntington is victorious in running out a black-owned business.
You can’t out West Virginia, West Virginia.
I don’t blame the restaurant for removing the sign their customers kept putting up.Huntington didnt run them out, they ran them selves out by not listening to their customers. Real simple.
lol good try but that’s not Crispis in Huntington WV. Actually it wasn’t even a good tryI don’t blame the restaurant for removing the sign their customers kept putting up.
I dont see parking as the issue. The Hall of Fame would have the same parking problem, but yet they are doing well it seems. Backyard, and the Peddler would have the same parking problem, but they are doing well it seems. Now all of them are for the most part , seat down, eat in places, while Crispis is a carry out only place. Yes they have seats, but the food is packages for carry.Location, location, location. How many restaurants have failed in that same location. No convenient parking. No drive-through window. The ordering process was tedious. Could have used more seating. It needed to be located close to the MU campus.
Agree. Never understood the parking argument. Every time we visit one of the restaurants you mentioned, I always drop of the family and park in the garage across from the arena. There's no charge and always plenty of parking.I dont see parking as the issue. The Hall of Fame would have the same parking problem, but yet they are doing well it seems. Agreed. Black owned businesses don’t do well in the location of West Virginia.Location, location, location.
Agreed. The issue is having a black owner who dares to speak out. They should know their place, right?I dont see parking as the issue.
Yeah, but they are white-owned establishments, so customers have a higher tolerance for their issues.. Every time we visit one of the restaurants you mentioned,
Yep. Blacks should know not to speak out in West Virginia.Public relations and not anticipating customers' needs and wishes were the issues.
Yep. West Virginians would rather spend their money at a bigoted business, one that financially supports taking away rights from gays, instead of a minority owned business. In addition, the product is too similar to Chick-fil-A to stand out.
I don't completely disagree with you.Agreed. Black owned businesses don’t do well in the location of West Virginia.

Yeah, but they are white-owned establishments, so customers have a higher tolerance for their issues.

still it has nothing to do with being black, it has to do with not listening to your customer.Agreed. Black owned businesses don’t do well in the location of West Virginia.

Yes, because any black person should know to listen to any white person.still it has nothing to do with being black, it has to do with not listening to your customer.
no they need to listen to their customers.Yes, because any black person should know to listen to any white person.
Especially the white ones.no they need to listen to their customers.
one would think since the Mayor Steve Williams was at the grand opening, he could sign an order that all people in Huntington need to go to Crispi's once a week so we can keep them open. He could even pass out $9 food vouchers to ever citizen in Huntington only good at Crispis. ( take the $450,000 of city money he spent studying what to do with Harris Riverfront park, by the approximate 50,000 people of Huntington) Now just think if Crispis had invested in Ketchup, they may still be open. You'll eat your fries the way I say or go somewhere else. They went somewhere else. Just following management orders.Especially the white ones.
The city that can support a million white-owned restaurants can’t support one black-owned restaurant.
The message is clear, Mr. Byrd.
Cmon folks go buy shitty chicken from a place with poor customer service and no ketchup. It is all your fault, white people.Especially the white ones.

Nobody has made that claim. In fact, people in this thread have said it is really good to pretty good food. They just don't like their package, something your daughter has never said about a guy, because everybody knows that chicken isn't worthwhile if the package they put it in isn't made of porcelain and marble.Cmon folks go buy shitty chicken
You can get chicken anywhere. Bojangles. KFC, Chick-fil-A, Roosters, Foodfair deli, etc. They apparently ran a ahitty place with shitty service.Nobody has made that claim. They just don't like their package, something your daughter has never said about a guy, because everybody knows that chicken isn't worthwhile if the package they put it in isn't made of porcelain and marble.
And of course, nobody would ever want to eat chicken if ketchup wasn't available, right?
I've heard those words before.Everybody loves fried chicken.
Having not lived in Huntington in 14 years, I am curious if there are any other black owned businesses in Huntington that do well?Funny, Huntington was great with crowds in that place the first several months they were open. Then the managers go on a podcast and blame everyone but themselves for the downturn in business due to Ketchupgate. But yeah, it's all about race. No it's not, never has been. In fact the town and citizens supported it well due to Moss's association with the place. Isn't he black? The managers were nut jobs.
The crack business has been very lucrative in Lil Detroit. Tyler Whiteman isn't leading that business.Having not lived in Huntington in 14 years, I am curious if there are any other black owned businesses in Huntington that do well?
Yes, once a black gets out of line and speaks out, they need to be taught their place, right? They should just be thankful they aren't still in the fields.Funny, Huntington was great with crowds in that place the first several months they were open. . . . that are owned by whites.Too many other places to.go.
You are a business guy, I can assure you, you would never hire those managers to work for you, if you had a similar business. The crack business has been very lucrative in Lil Detroit. Tyler Whiteman isn't leading that business.

Selling crack? I don't know. I wouldn't be too picky other than finding disloyal people who think my name is Michigan Herd. You are a business guy, I can assure you, you would never hire those managers to work for you, if you had a similar business.
In Huntington, that is exactly right.Especially the white ones.

This probably means a change in local management if they do reopen. So according to WOWK's updated article Crisppis might actually not be permanently closed.
In the article they claimed to have gotten in touch with the property owner, Crisppis owners and Randy who said they are still committed to Huntington, and are brainstorming the path forward. They are still paying rent and are "very communicative".
still it has nothing to do with being black, it has to do with not listening to your customer.
Sshhh! Don't ruin my entertainment. He knows that. You're being trolled.
