The rich did not pay for my social security,. and it is not an entitlement, I paid for it myself when the money was taken from my paycheck . If I have lived long enough to get more out of it that is my luck. Some others do not because they die younger unfortunately . You may or not get as much depends on other factors and how long you live. You know all this you just dont like to be paying into now. The plan may not be right for you but it will give others something to live on when they get older. It is not a ponzi scheme like Musk claims . It is a safety net for many later in life and is essential to keeping our economy stronger.

Yes. The rich are paying for your SS payments. You are collecting from the current tax payers. YOU have no account with chunk of money you’ve accumulated. You simply have a benefit statement/entitlement determined by an actuary table. . Current workers are covering your payment. Even your SS taxes paid for someone else’s freeloading. Which is why, when you die, nothing more is paid (unless you have a dependent survivors)

No that is not a ponzi scheme . You just don t like to pay into it and you believe now that you wont need to collect when you get older. But life is very unpredictable and uncertain. You are an insurance man you must know that many of your customers are very dependent on the social security they recieve. Everything that contributes to the economy is good for the country.
