I can not figure out why a team that refuses to play us, and feels they are a perrinial national champion candidate in the greatest conference in America come to a Marshall board for any reason.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Oh and can we get a wrestling pic of little 6000 enrollment Villanova tossing big bad 12 Oklahoma around in the ring like a sack of potatoes? You know the big .12 best conference in America since the U of South NJ School of Arson joined.

The Big 12 went 3-4 in the first round, not 2-4. And each of those 3 winners advanced to the Sweet 16. Two to the Elite 8, and 1 to the Final Four. How many conferences did better than that? Even with the "poor" showing in the NCAA tournament, the Big 12 still had the highest out of conference winning percentage in Div 1 this season.

The conference that was much better all season, the Atlantic Coast Conference.

Remember that Spamitism is a self-selected condition. None of these people actually went to WVU (or any other college). The tiny number of WVU's actual alumni that live in WV, while certainly fans of their school, are frankly embarrassed of the whole outfit.

To buy into the USPAM idea, you have to be pretty stupid. The lapdog media like Hickman, Vingleberry and Crapridi spew out pure idiocy. Things no one who knows anything about sports can actually believe.

And within their little cult these people ACTUALLY BELIEVE this dreck. They sit about in a giant circle jerk and repeat this spew back and forth to one another.

And then there is the Marshall fan. Willing to say that, no, WVU is not the academic equal of any "power 5" college. That no, having 65% out of state students is a horrible thing for this poor state to be doing. The Gordo Gee is a racist. That Drunkerson and Thuggie are both degenerate drunks living as if they were 20, not 50 or 60. That WVU is not some national power, but rather, in football, a geographically displaced field filler in the Texas-Oklahoma conference where is simply cannot now, nor ever, compete. That before that, the "Big East" and its predecessors mid-major football. That no, no one (other than the occasional WVian) choses WVU over a list of three dozen other choices. That, in basketball, it has won exactly nothing in 100 years. That Drunkerson, when he finally gets run off, will never head coach again. That Dick Rod was just some random assistant in the ACC and not some super-genius WVU took from the hands of whoever (which the results at the major level at Michigan and now Arizona prove). That Thuggie was fired from Cincy because he was DUI, perpetually drunk, violating NCAA rules, and gambling money he did not have in Indiana casinos. And so on.

Their fixation can, thus, be summed up as "make the bad man stop saying those bad things."

Find any other college, in any state, in the position to which WVU's non-alumni fan base aggrandizes itself to, and find ONE POST on a board of a "non-rival" in the position to which these idiots assign MU.

You will not find any.

Because herd in plains and a few others only live thru the losses of other teams. On the other board the girl who runs that board is tickled morehead lost in the finals of the cib to nevada. Herd fever is right and fever its been 45 years to me personally.. Our trip to the dance through the southern conference is something that wasnt much. In 71 that was our last great team and they were great. Bashing wv however is open season. Wait a second this isnt the smack board im outta here

After yet another year where WVU's season ends just like every other, all they have left is "But Marshall..." WVU fans would love to actually WIN something. They never do.

There is a baseball game on Tuesday. After that, the cycle resumes. August's "usens is gonna win that there national champeenship" becomes October's frustrating assreaming by the teams made up of players that actually wanted from boyhood to play for the schools they play for becomes December's Rico's Bail Bond Bowl, all they will have is "But Marshall...". As another Thuggie super-team fattens up on the exposed for what it is Big 12, and then makes yet another exit from post-season play, all they have is "But Marshall..."

The Spamite fixation and jealousy of MU is without equal in all of college sports. We, and our "failures" are all they have to make the hurt of being what they are ease.
