Now that a sixth video of Gruber "misspeaking" has surfaced, national news agencies are finally reporting on them. And you can tell by the stories that they really, really don't want to. Gruber wasn't just some guy the Democrats are now pretending like they've never heard of. Earlier this week, Skeletor stunt double & House Minority leader Nancy Pelosi denied knowing anything about the guy. To which the internet produced video of her quoting his work at length during the ACA battle.
The White House initially said Gruber didn't play a significant role in the legislation but that's being blown to bits. He's in WH logs as being part of high level meetings during the drafting of the law. The PBS interview is also pretty damning, especially if you remember how this was argued before the SCOTUS. During a recent presser, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest, when pressed by Ed Henry, basically gave the "Yeah we robbed a bank, but look how many bills we paid off" defense.
