RPI is the biggest factor, but funnily enough attendance, reputation, and fan engagement are taken into account - according to the NCAA site.

Watched the game. Furman seemed to be in control of most of it. Consistent pressure forward. Both teams were heavy on defense and prevented shots in the box. Almost seemed like NC was playing for penalty kicks the whole overtime.

Agree. Furman looked like the better team. I'll admit I assumed UNC was better simply because they're historically a powerhouse.
