Solich Retires....

Decent coach who often had Marshall’s number in our contests, but never was able to get Ohio over the hump.

Remember the Ohio game here with no time remaining he went for the win instead of a tie and OT? He often had Docs number.

Every time we played them we had the better players by a significant margin, but it would be a matter of whether our coaching staff could adjust to their creativity, and often times we couldn't.

That one game in Athens....they kept throwing that one type of pass the whole game, and we didn't have an answer....they always had a shifty, smart QB it seemed as well...

Wow, with all the accolades for Solich, you'd think he'd have won a conference title...oh wait.
Considering the OU program was way behind ours back in the day, he did a great job, all things considered. What was his record against Doc? He's made them competitive.

Tyler Tettleton, Mickey's son. We were giving up a cushion and they brought their sleeping bags and smores and camped out in the gap between all game.

If we're talking about the same foul night (because lets face it, there were a few in Athens), that was also the game where they were kicking off to Stew Butler with the ball rotating horizontally like a helicopter, and he kept fumbling - once for a safety that I will never understand the legality of.

Also the game where I barked at an Ohio fan, "You people don't deserve this, bunch of hippies you don't even care about sports."
