I've seen Marshall projected from the Bahamas Bowl (which I doubt) to the St. Pete Bowl to the HOD Bowl.

Since we didn't go to the HOD Bowl last year, I would like to see us go there this year if we win the conference. However, I think MH and Doc will do everything they can to send us back to Florida for a bowl.

IMO the best case scenario would be for us to get the Miami Bowl vs Temple/Memphis/Houston. Primary recruiting location and an AAC opponent who, this year, is top quality. It would be better than having played NIU last year, in terms of opponent quality.

I'd rather play a ranked team from those 3 than an unranked, 6-6 Texas in the HOD Bowl, IMO.

I hope we play a team from the Big 10 if we get a chance. I really feel that we are suffering with our image right now for some reason. Every chance we get to play and hopefully beat a team from a P5 conference is a feather in our cap IMO.

Considering I wasn't complaining I'm not sure what your problem is with my post. Maybe you're just having a bad day.

I don't remember what day the HOD Bowl is on this year and that would factor in the decision. Any potential bowl trip would depend on what day the game is being played. Only so much vacation time at work.

Geography, recruiting and alumni up and down the eastern seaboard screams Florida. Three Bowls in Arizona, New Mexico and Dallas for LT, Rice and whoever. USM for NO maybe.

I would prefer Dallas for selfish reasons as it is close to home. If the St Pete bowl it is on a Saturday so might be able to attend. Be a long drive home on Sunday for work on Monday though

The Miami Beach Bowl is at 2:30p Monday December 21st and the St. Pete and HOD Bowl are the day after Christmas. Not the best days of the bowl season for time off from work and travel.

Maybe play WVU in the HOD Bowl? Or Texas Tech?

Could be some good matchups for the St. Pete or Miami Beach Bowls, Houston, Cincy, Temple, Memphis, Navy.

Sorry, I support the team...I try to look at the decisions Hamrick has made in the long run. I have a more optimistic approach. If we picked the HOD Bowl last year, I would have tried to go, if not, I would have done what I did with Boca...wrote the BG a check for the amount I would have spent to get there...
Why? Because unlike the few here, I still supoort the team, I do not place myself ahead of them, and I certainly don't like like a selfish prick by demanding Marshall owes me something like some on here do.

Plus, I'd rather bitch at the fans than I would at Marshall...I prefer a challenge.
