Stolen Valor Walz

Who is the source for your comment, @GeauxHerd ?

Here is a link to the official statement from the Minnesota National Guard.

Minnesota National Guard confirms VP nominee Tim Walz demoted, calling into question official bio

Gov. Walz's biography boasts a higher National Guard rank than he retired with after he was automatically demoted for failing to fulfill obligations of his promotion. He also bailed out on his unit before deployment in Iraq. The Minnesota National Guard confirmed Wednesday that Gov. Tim Walz, Kamala Harris' vice presidential running mate, was demoted and did not retire as a command sergeant major like he has claimed for years, including on his official gubernatorial biography.
While Walz temporarily held the title of command sergeant major he "retired as a master sergeant in 2005 for benefit purposes because he did not complete additional coursework at the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Academy," Army Lt. Col. Kristen Augé, the Minnesota National Guard’s State Public Affairs Officer, told Just the News."
Did you even bother to read this bio?
Here is what it says relating to that:

After 24 years in the Army National Guard, Command Sergeant Major Walz retired from the 1-125th Field Artillery Battalion in 2005.

That's a hell of a stretch to claim that is a lie when he was, in fact, a command sergeant at one time.

They would never state a rank you once held. They state the rank you held as you entered retirement.

There is a massive difference between a CSM (E-9) and a Master Sergeant (E-8). Hell, there's a significant difference between a Sergeant Major (E-9) and a Command Sergeant Major (E-9) that you can't understand, because you have no knowledge of the military and are trying to be your usual know-it-all self. You really should just stop trying to defend this guy.

He retired at the rank to which he was reduced. It is an extremely dishonorable and outright embarrassing thing to have happen to you in the military, and to get disciplined like this at such a high rank of CSM almost takes an act of Congress because you're typically untouchable unless you do something outrageous.

Just stop. You just keep embarrassing yourself. There’s no such rank as “command sergeant”.

The quote I posted said "command sergeant major," moron. You are really, really bad at this. You attempt these drive-by jabs that usually make absolutely no sense and make you look dumber than you did your first few years on here. As I told you before, take a break from the board. When you come back, people will forget who you are and not remember so quickly how much of a moron you are.

I'm guessing you don't know the answer to what I asked Geaux, either?

Reach out to your vet friends & ask them what they think. Like, actually do it. They're not crazy about the guy.

Dipshit, read the last sentence that YOU wrote that I responded to. You said “command sergeant”, and that is not a military rank. There, I dumbed it down for you. You have become this boards Timmy from South Park.

Keep, do you ever think about the things you repost instead of just using confirmation bias?

The guys in that video have an issue with Walz saying that he was "deploying in support of Operation Enduring Freedom." The guys in that video claim that "Operation Enduring Freedom" only meant on the ground in Afghanistan and in the air directly above Afghanistan. But some quick reading shows otherwise. The first one uses "support" of Operation Enduring Freedom by other nations outside of Afghanistan. The second link refers to Operation Enduring Freedom including the large global war on terrorism. Even without these two references, the claim is that Walz "deployed in support." That could mean a whole bunch of things including supporting that mission in another country:

Ok, Timmy. I’ll dumb it down for you yet again. He never carried in a war, a country that was at war, or any such combat zone. Those were his own words, not mine.

Meg, you really need to get this moron off of the board. He makes all you deplorables dumber than you usually are.

Calm down and put on your helmet to prevent future head trauma window licker. Go back and look, there’s no damn rank called “command sergeant” now there is a “command sergeant major”, but that’s not what your retarded ass wrote. Also, Walz never served in a combat zone, so he never carried a weapon in “war”.

Moron, since you won't answer after I asked Geaux the same, how about trying to answer in this thread: where are those accusations coming from? Somebody has to be saying them, right? Who is that person?
It is ALL over social media from people that he served with, multiple people are outing his lies and cowardice. It’s called Google, don’t be lazy. It’s all over X, FB, etc.

Walz officially filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission on Feb. 10, 2005.

In March 2005, the National Guard announced a possible partial mobilization of roughly 2,000 troops from the Minnesota National Guard

Walz retired on May 16, 2005.

In the fall of 2005, 1st Battalion, 125th Field Artillery was mobilized in preparation for a deployment.

Walz did NOT endanger those under his command. The military had 4 months from the time of his retirement to replace his position.

This stuff makes me irrationally angry.

Guess since I was in Japan in 2002 at the early stages of OEF I should claim to be a OEF veteran as well. Such garbage.

You're irrational before you get angry. moron. You're using a far right source that like you, has very little integrity.

  • Overall, we rate the Washington Free Beacon Right Biased based on story selection that favors the right and Mixed for factual reporting due to misleading and false claims.

All kinds of soldiers he served with are coming out against him. Later, he fabricated what he did. He fabricated rank. He talked about going to war. He didn't.

No sugarcoating it.

You're a lying scumbag.
National Guard units usually have a long ramp up time. Typically they will go to a military base before they go to a war zone. That part alone is about a month or so. That is where they brush up.on skills and get their equipment in order. They know months and months in advance. It takes awhile. He was a senior NCO he probably knew prior to Manu or at least new something was happening. They ramp up for a good period of time.

Even some active duty units would know a year in advance.

There are other units that can go fast buy that isn't an artillery unit in the MN National Guard.

You're a lying idiot and oath breaker. NOTHING you say about anything has credibility.

According to the Minnesota National Guard, Walz retired in May 2005, two months before his unit received its alert order for deployment to Iraq. Walz’s combat team received its alert order on July 2005, mobilizing in September of that year and deploying in March 2006

Shut up. He is on video lying about his service. His records show different that what he has promoted and said. People he served with are coming out and saying he is not telling the truth.

I would say a General Officer had to sign off on that one. Probably the AG of the MN National Guard. It would have to be a major **** up for his rank to be reduced at that level. That would be my humble opinion. At that level they usually protect their own or get reassigned, etc. Or you keep the rank and go do a desk job somewhere. Pretty sure a General, probably a 2 star would have to reduce that rank.

This clown is a dirt bag. That SOB will have zero respect from the military. Not just for that but, lying about carrying his weapon in war and hopping out on a deployment he knew was coming.
