You missed my post above yours. I believe Taliban would immediately benefit from a US response....as long as we still GTFO.
It's an odd thing when one has to momentarily root for the Taliban for a couple of days. Then I can get back to rooting for the resistance. But I fear this will descend into a fairly long civil war....giving us a big reason to keep fvcking around there.

He's supposed to address the nation at 5 today, in just ten minutes. Anything short of resigning from office, and I'll be pissed. He has to go now. The nation and our outstanding men and women in military are in peril with this clown. That's not only today, but any day from this day forward. He's not up to the job, and the hell of it is, everybody knew this over a year and a half back.

I have been on the road at a business meeting and just know saw the news on this thread. So very sad and so very avoidable. We all were worried that our troops were sitting ducks being surrounded on all four sides.
