Names a VP that not a lot of people supported. Did this while he is clearly behind Trump in the election process.

Then, he still claims he is going to win because they are headed towards a brokered convention.

He won't say he will support the nominee because he is going to win.

Dude is lala land.

If I have to vote for Cruz I will just stay home. He is a tool bag.

Dude you are losing and if you lose tomorrow it is over. It is over for you anyway. If they pick a candidate at the convention then it won't be you.

Weirdo.

He was essentially the "outsider" "anti GOP establishment" candidate before Trump joined in. IMO he is the only top to bottom "conservative" in the race. What's that say about the Repub party?

Not one thing you have pointed to Herdman deals with Cruz's stance on an issue or policy which I find interesting. If Cruz lost the southern Baptist revival minister delivery, it would make him more appealing IMO. The Jimmy Swaggart approach makes me turn the channel when I see him on it.

With that said, the fact is, he's been one of the only repubs I have seen over the last 7 years to actually stand up publicly and speak out against a majority of Obumma's policy, and use political capital to fight much of what Obumma has done.

Don't say one word about him not supporting the repub nominee mr I'll vote for Hillary before I vote for anyone other than trump

I am not voting for a Jimmy Swaggart. I am not voting for a preacher. If I want to do that I will go to church.

I want to win Damn It.

Even if he lost the Baptist preacher attitude, he still has a couple of major issues going against him.

1) He thinks he's smarter than everyone.....and I mean everyone. No denying he's a smart guy but he continually talks down to everyone he meets.

2) He's just plain unlikeable.......From college to now, no one he's worked with actually likes the guy. Does the guy even have any actual friends? I'm not sure his wife liked him until she got on meds. No matter what you think of previous Presidents politically and personally, they were likeable......Clinton - Likeable, Bush - Likeable, Obama - Likeable..........

He's a jerk and he comes across as one.........

I have come to my political decision about the two front runners: voting for trump will be the equivalent of voting for Hillary. IMO they are exactly the same philosophically and they will both be largely ineffective presidents.

on the flip side, a guy like cruz in the white house that's not even liked by his own party, what would he be able to actually accomplish?

I don't give a damn about likability in a true leader. The ultimate question is respectability. I've had a keen dislike for many people in my life but I've respected the hell out them and was willing to work with them in a common goal. Once you lose the respect no one will work along side to accomplish anything.

The "leadership" component of Cruz is something I haven't fully figured out yet. Again, I think it's his communication style. It bothers me more than Trumps.

Frankly a politician that is able to accomplish very little is not a bad thing. The more they implement...the more fvcked up everyone's life becomes.

I don't see how Hillary or Trump are alike in many regards.

I hear that argument but I don't see it.

You may not but most of the voters do......No matter who wins in the Fall, they will be the most disliked President since Nixon.

Started with 20 candidates, not one worth a damn. Perfect timing for Clinton and Trump.

In the land of the blind, the one eyed man/woman is King.

I have a question about Cruz has he always been so preacherish. I mean he's went full zealot. I don't seem to remember him being that way as a Senator maybe he was and because he wasn't running for President you didn't hear about it.

I am proud to be in the minority on this one. IMO, its why the country is in the shitter. Everyone wants to hear unicorn and rainbow promises. Years of "pass the buck" mentality with a fear of hurting anyone's feelings has led us to a nation full of half wits who can tell you more about the Disney Princesses than they can about actual American history.

I'll sum up the typical "American voter" and their lack of comprehension on anything of true consequence beyond a 1 line twitter feed or 15 second news sound bite. It has been shown countless times that what they "like" or who they like as a consensus is something to be concerned about long term......

Beginning in the 1960s, the "war on poverty" began. Ultimately masses of consumers demanded cheap goods, and piles of worthless shit to buy, in order to "feel good" about their lives and to combat the unfairness of someone having something they didn't. These demands resulted in "liked" international trade policies and yielded a business retail model known as "discount". Walmart was born out of this demand and "loved" by the short sighted, cheap-ass masses, as they flocked to "discount" shopping centers all over the country simply to "save" $$$$.

Fast forward to today. Now....the same dumbasses who celebrated the freedom to spend...urrrrrr...."save", spend time picketing, hating, and blaming Walmart for giving them exactly what they asked for, decades ago. Many of these same morons have produced generations, yielding new ignorant "feel good" minions (known as hipsters/millennials). What is their "new" answer to their past "answer" for fixing "unfairness" with long term vision? Bernie Sanders. Seriously?! Cant make this shit up.

Both parties are so short-sighted.........Pandering to the lowest common denominator.

"What we've got here is failure to communicate. Some men (people) you just can't reach. So you get what we had here last week (Trump), which is the way he (they) wants it. Well, he (they) gets it. I don't like it any more than you men."

Leaders aren't supposed to tell you what you want to hear.....They're supposed to tell you what you need to hear.
